[Download] MHz Legacy - "Satisfied" Feat. Slug (of Atmosphere) (Prod. By Rjd2)

Back in the day before Rjd2 was "THE RJD2" that we know and love now he was DJ of the Columbus, Ohio rap collective MHz which was fomed by Copywrite, Jakki Da Motamouth, Tage (Proto) Future, RJ and the late great Camu Tao. The group's first and only album Table Scraps is one of my favorite hip hop albums which introduced me to Copywrite and Camu, as well as some of the first RJD2 productions. Now the collective have reformed under the name MHz Legacy in honor of their fallen brother Camu and are set to release their new self-titled album on October 30th, MHz Legacy, which marks the group's first album in a decade.

The new LP features 17 new cuts from the MHz crew with RJD2 producing 6 new cuts and also features guest appearances from some of hip hop's best past and present like Danny Brown, Blu, Slug (of Atmosphere), ILL BILL, Slaine, Icebird's Aaron Livingston and Oh No, as well as a number of never-before-heard verses from the late Camu Tao. With new Camu verses and new RJ tracks alone, I know this album is going to have my money thrown at it. If that doesn't convince you to do the same take a listen to this album cut titled "Satisfied" featuring Slug of Atmosphere and is produced by RJD2.

MHz Legacy's self titled drops next week 10/30/12 via Copywrite's own Man Bites Dog label. Peep the tracklist below and pick this up when it drops.

Aesop Rock Announces LP #6 'Skelethon" To Release This July On Rhymesayers

Acerizzle aka Aesop Rock (not to be confused with A$AP Rocky) announced today that his 6th solo album Skelethon will be released on July 10th via indie hip hop giant, Rhymesayers. Skelethon marks the first solo LP in five years since Aesop's last album None Shall Pass was released in 07. The album features guest spots from Ace's Hail Mary Mallon Co-horts Rob Sonic & DJ Big Wiz, as well as wifey Allyson Baker of Dirty Ghosts, Hanni El Khatib, Grimace Federation, Nicky Fleming-Yaryan and his Uncluded partner in crime Kimya Dawson. The new album is 100% produced by Aesop Rock which is awesome as Aesop is coming into his own as a producer, but at the same time sad as we won't hear Aesop spit over any El-P or Blockhead beats this time around. Check out the album's full tracklist below.

1. Leisureforce
2. ZZZ Top
3. Cycles To Gehenna
4. Zero Dark Thirty
5. Fryerstarter
6. Ruby '81
7. Crows 1
8. Crows 2
9. Racing Stripes
10. 1,000 O'Clock
11. Homemade Mummy
12. Grace
13. Saturn Missiles
14. Tetra
15. Gopher Guts

It may be a minute before we get our first taste of Skelethon but this April we will get our first taste of Aesop's upcoming collaboration with singer/songwriter Kimya Dawson, The Uncluded, with Rhymesayers upcoming Record Store Day 2012 Picture Disc. The split 10"vinyl will feature brand new, exclusive and unreleased tracks from Atmosphere called "Someday Soon" and The Uncluded (Aesop Rock x Kimya Dawson) titled "Bats". This release RSD release is a limited run with only 2000 copies, so make sure you get your hands on one. Check out more music from Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson from last year's Daytrotter Session.

[Listen] Atmosphere - "Which Way Is Up" Feat. Aesop Rock

Back to some more sweet RSD exclusives. This track was featured on Rhymesayers' exclusive Record Store Day release (which I unfortunately did not get a physical copy of :( ) and is from RSE's flagship group Atmosphere and Def Jukie and newest Rhymesayers member Aesop Rock titled "Which Way Is Up." The 7" picture disc also featured unreleased songs from P.O.S and Mux Mool, Grieves and Budo, Brother Ali and Jake One, Blueprint and lastly Dilated People's Evidence.

Atmosphere recently released their amazing dark/beautiful album The Family Sign earlier in the week. So if you weren't album to grab this sweet little release make sure you grab the new album from Atmo and just to clear up any confusion, Aesop (as far we know) is not signed as a solo artist under Rhymesayers. However, his group with Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz, Hail Mary Mallon, have inked a deal with Rhymesayers to release their debut album Are You Gonna To Eat That? later on this year. Peep the promo video here.

UPDATE: You can now pick up a free download of the song at 900 Bats!

[Listen] Hear 2 New Atmosphere Demos - "Bar Food" x "By Your Side"

For those of you that preordered the new Atmosphere album, The Family Sign, from Fifth Elment Online you received a bonus CD Storybook Vol.1 filled with some of Slug and Ant's favorite tracks and rarities which also contained 2 new tracks, the hilarious cannibalistic track "Bar Food" and "By Your Side" which were both recorded in 2009.

Unfortunately, the preorder bonus is no longer available, however, if you cop the Deluxe Version of the new record on iTunes or Amazon you will receive another two tracks not featured on the new LP. Atmosphere's new album The Family Sign drops tomorrow and you can also go check out in full here, courtesy of Spinner/AOL.
