[Watch] Muse - "Madness" x "Panic Station" Live on Jools Holland

Muse are set to release their genre hopping album The 2nd Law next week on October 1st, and last night they performed their first bit of promotion on UK television with 2 performances on the return show of Later... with Jools Holland. First up they performed their recent single "Madness", the bass synth infused jam. Secondly they performed an album cut, "Panic Station", a track that's about as funky and out there as I've seen Muse in quite some time. Check out their lead single at the top with the slap bass heavy number being available after the jump.

[Night Out] Biffy Clyro @ The Roundhouse, iTunes Festival (22/09/12)

I was introduced to Biffy Clyro at one of my first ever musical outings at the age of 16. The outing in question was to Leeds Festival 2005 and me and 2 close friends were those eager kids that wanted to see everything from as close as possible. We had ran to the barrier on the Sunday morning in hope of staying there for the 9+ hours until Foo Fighters arrived to close the festival (which we did!). Little did I know though that 2 bands into the day a Jesus like figure dressed all in white would step out onto the stage and change my musical taste for the foreseeable future. That bearded man was Simon Neil and the band Biffy Clyro. I remember it vividly as my friends older brother actually said something along the lines of "these guys are shit, we'll see you back at the tents tonight, they play every year." How wrong he was.

[Listen] Andrew Bird - "Three White Horses"

Andrew Bird quickly follows-up his March LP Break It Yourself with a companion album titled Hands of Glory. The Break It Yourself accompaniment was recorded with Bird's full band, all playing acoustically around a single microphone in a church and barn. Below, you can stream the album opener "Three White Horses", which perfectly exemplifies how the album was inspired by Bird's "old-time" live sets during his recent tour.

Hands of Glory is out on October 30th via Mom+Pop, and after the jump you can take a look at the tracklisting for the album.

[Listen] Dracula Lewis - "Permafrost"

Today we'd like to introduce you to Souterrain Transmissionsʼ latest signing, Dracula Lewis, an artist that has actually spent the past few years developing his sound, along with a record label Hundebiss Records, in a Milan Squat of all places. It's always nice to get some curve balls in the inbox on a morning, I'm not talking Nicki Minaj/PSY mashups and the like but this definitely wasn't what I expected when I hit play on this track. Titled "Permafrost" it starts out with a little bit of a dub feel. It's a dark and lo-fi affair leaving you looking over your shoulder once it's finished. You know, the kind of thing you'd expect playing in a movie as a girl walks home alone and decides to take a shortcut through a dark alley only to be met by Jack the Ripper. See if it tickles your senses below.

The 12”/Digital EP is set to drop on November 5th via  Souterrain Transmissions and he joins The Soft Moon on their European Tour. Dates after the jump.
