[SKOA Premiere] Alan Wilkis - "Come And Go (Spacebrother Remix)"
PRINTS is the season-long-mulitmedia project from SKOA favorite Alan Wilkis. The first of many collaborations that we'll be catch throughout the fall is with our dear friends The Kickdrums on the track "Come and Go", which you may have already caught a listen of on Consequence of Sound. From there you heard the RJD2 remix and then the Big Pooh & Kid Daytona remix. Today we are happy to bring the dancy remix of "Come and Go" from Jared of Innerpartysystem's side project Spacebrother that will definitely make you feel like you're floating in space.
PRINTS combines original music, artwork, remixes and videos which are all initiated by an instrumental track by Wilkis. From there, a handful of top notch collaborators including Lyrics Born, White Hinterland, Childish Gambino, and many more work with Wilkis to develop a series of tracks or "prints".

[SKoA Premiere] Gabriel Stark - 'Thank You Starky' (Full Album Stream)
Since the age of 14, Bronx-native Gabriel Stark has been rapping and making beats, even going so far as to produce for his classmates throughout high school. Making a name for himself through producing, he began applying those skills to his own recordings at the age of 18. His first studio project, Thank God It's Starky, reached 5,000 downloads in its first month, while his second release, Starky Hendrix, reached 16,000 downloads in its first two weeks. Since then, Gabriel Stark has been expanding greatly, taking himself from a locally known producer to a household name in the East Coast hip-hop scene.
On October 20th, the twenty-one year old will be releasing his new album Thank You Starky via Dorm Room 313, and Some Kind of Awesome is proud to premiere the full album stream of his upcoming release. You can listen to the entirety of the album in the player below, and make sure to pick up both Thank God It's Starky and Starky Hendrix over at Gabriel Stark's official website. As well, make sure to follow Stark on Twitter and add him as a friend on Facebook (don't worry, he approves of adding him as a friend instead of liking a fan page).

[SKOA Premiere] Breanne Düren - "No One Else (Tokyo Police Club Remix)"
You may recognize Breanne Düren's tender but powerful backing vocals from when she graced Owl City's albums with tracks like "The Saltwater Room" and "Honey and the Bee" before heading out on tour to do additional background vocals with him. Düren, who had only been playing local gigs while in school at the University of Minnesota before she met Adam Young (Owl City) quickly realized while she was on tour with Young that she was born to have a career in music:
“I went from playing these low-key local gigs with a drummer and a bass player to playing electro pop songs onstage to thousands of people. It just made me feel like, ah, ok, I need to do this. This is what I’m supposed to do. I can’t do anything else and I don’t want to.”
With songs like "No One Else" from her debut EP Sparks, we certainly don't think she'll need to get a day job any time soon. The song is stripped down to basic percussion with little pop glimmers here and there, all the while carried by Düren's voice. Today we bring you the first listen of a remix of the pop-esque tune from the likes of Tokyo Police Club, who have added a playful dancy spin on the track.

[SKOA Premiere] General Fiasco - "Waves"
After a summer of gigs across the country, General Fiasco return with the first taste of their new EP Waves. Today SKOA is proud to give you the premiere of the aforementioned EP's title track, and it's a goodie. The boys from Northern Ireland have crafted a catchy overdriven guitar filled track with a great sing-along chorus that will no doubt become lodged into your subconsciousness for the foreseeable future.
Give it a play or two at the bottom and look out for their EP when it drops on the 14th of November via Dirty Hit. If you like what your ears are hearing then after the jump you can peep some tour dates for their October tour. See you at the Deaf Institute in Manchester if you go along!
