[Listen] Check Out Flume's Bass-Heavy Remix of Disclosure's "You & Me"

Disclosure's Eliza Doolittle-featuring single "You & Me" is an incredible track on its own, a perfect reflection of Guy and Lawrence Howard's formula. Flume decided to take their combination of dancefloor-ready beats and Doolittle's yearning vocals and completely change the formula. The result is a near-five minute remix of bombastic bass and echoing, glitchy vocal samples. Just wait for the one-minute mark, it is purely awesome. Stream the remix alongside the original below.

[Watch] Jimmy Eat World - "I Will Steal You Back" Live on Kimmel

We've not really mentioned Jimmy Eat World too much here on SKOA in recent months (years). We posted up their RSD release back in April, but yesterday they released their seventh studio record, Damage, which was produced by the extremely talented Alain Johannes. So to help promote that they paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform the track "I Will Steal You Back" which I've heard quite a bit in the UK in recent months via numerous Radio Stations. Check them out after the jump via The Audio Perv.

Damage is out now.

[Watch] Poliça - "Tiff" Feat. Justin Vernon (Official Video)

I absolutely loved Poliça's debut album, Give You the Ghost, and was very happy to hear they're planning a follow up later this year. A taste of what to come from that arrived earlier in the year in the shape of the Justin Vernon featuring "Tiff. The video sees Channy Leaneagh torturing herself in a basement somewhere. Yeah, you read that correctly. She beats the crap out of herself. It is pretty graphic and features some breaking bones, water boarding and all out brutal treatment. It's the kind of beatings that make my toes curl. Watch it above, but you have been warned.

Their sophomore album Shulamith is due out this Autumn via Mom + Pop

[Album Stream] Sigur Rós - 'Kveikur'

After offering up several cuts from their new album, Kveikur, which follows up their 2012 release, ValtariSigur Rós now preview the new album in full one week before its official release date. As mentioned previously, they've said this album is to be "more aggressive" and after a few listens I'd have to agree. See if you do too over on Amazon.

Kveikur is officially released next week on June 18th via XL Recordings.

[Listen] Washed Out Drops New Single "It All Feels Right"

Washed Out teased his new sophomore album Paracosm a few weeks back, giving us a brief teaser video and a few minor details. That changed today, as the (not so) chillwave artist gave us the LP's lead single. Titled "It All Feels Right," the song is very mellow and calming, accompanied by a flowery lyrics video. It definitely showcases the artist's new approach, where he used 50 different instruments to develop a vibrant, layered sound distinct from his former chillwave assocation. Stream the song below.

Paracosm is out on August 13th. Check out the artwork above and the tracklist after the jump, along with Washed Out's just-announced fall tour dates.

[Watch] Cut Copy Perform New Song "Explorers" at Governors Ball

Kanye West wasn't the only one debuting new material at Governors Ball. It's been two years since Australian electro pop outfit Cut Copy's last album, the excellent Zonoscope, and now that they're back on the road touring they're using the opportunity to test new material. During their set at Randall's Island they performed a new upbeat cut titled "Explorers." Check out fan footage of the song below.

[Watch] Kanye West Debuts New Music at Governors Ball

This year's Governors Ball was messy, to say the least. The festival organizers had to reschedule much of the Friday night lineup and heavy downpours left the festival grounds a muddy pool. Despite this, the weekend was a success, and how could it not be? Kanye West closed out the festival Sunday night, and as expected it was pretty outstanding. During his headlining set, Ye debuted a number of songs from the fast-approaching Yeezus, including the previously heard "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves" as well as new tracks "I Am A God," "Onsite" and "Send It Up." Check out fan footage of each song after the jump.

Kanye also had one of this trademark rants during his performance, where he talked about the promotional campaign behind Yeezus, due out June 18th. Read or watch the rant below.

You know with this album, we ain’t drop no single for radio. We ain’t got no big NBA campaign or nothing like that. Shit, we ain’t even got no cover. We just made some real music. Back when I used to make albums and shit a couple years ago, three years ago, four years ago, we’d go away and work for the albums five months or something, we’d always have to hold the album to August or September, perfect moment and shit because it means I think you’re going to sell more because I think you’re going to get more audience and radio and shit. Honestly at this point when I listen to radio, that ain’t where I wanna be no more. Honestly at this point, I could give a fuck about selling a million records. As long as I put out an album for the summer that you can all rock to all mother fucking summer. Because at this point I don’t really give a fuck about outside opinions."

If there wasn't enough new Kanye for one morning, Hudson Mohawke dropped another surprise this past weekend. At Parklife Festival in Manchester, the producer slipped in a (possible) new Ye track during his set. Keep in mind, it is just a version of TNGHT's banger "R U Ready" with auto-tuned Kanye vocals layered overtop, but who knows, it might appear on Yeezus or it could simply be a remix. Either way, enjoy it below.

All we've heard from Empire of the Sun's sophomore album Ice on the Dune is the colorful, anthemic lead single "Alive." But, as its June 18th release date quickly snuck up on us, the Australian duo are giving us the chance to hear it in full before it officially hits retailers. Listen to the entire album over at Rolling Stone, who also spoke to the band about the album. Read the details and stream the record here.
