[News] Trash Talk Announce European Tour
Trash Talk have just announced a European Tour set for June and July this year. The tour will see them play Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, Ireland along with a host of dates in the UK and Scotland. See the poster above for details. Tickets are on sale now so be quick. I've heard the Manchester date is selling out ridiculously quick due to the Star and Garter being a tiny venue. Avoid disappointment and grab a ticket quickly!
[News] The Dillinger Escape Plan Announce UK Tour
in the week I was blown away by the new album from The Dillinger Escape Plan. Following the release of One Of Us Is The Killer the band have now announced that they'll be crossing the Atlantic to cause some mayhem here in the UK later in 2013. Planning their tour for November you can catch the dates after the jump. If they're in your city I'd highly recommend checking them out live.

[News] Leeds Label Brew Records call it a day...
A sad, sad day this way comes. It may be Friday and you're getting excited for some post work beers but hold a moments silence for Leeds label Brew Records. Sadly they have decided to call it a day after 6 years and 27 releases. Some of which have been my favourites in recent years and turned me onto some of my now favourite bands.
Currently home to Kong, Humanfly, Blacklisters, Castrovalva and Nine Black Alps, Brew had also previously released records by Hawk Eyes, These Monsters, Shield Your Eyes and That Fucking Tank they'll be closing their doors. Check out their statement below along with a nice playlist to commemorate the occasion and all the hard work they've put in.
We've had the pleasure of releasing some incredible records over the years and have been fortunate to work with so many amazing people. We'd like to thank everyone that has ever supported us, bought a record or a t-shirt and spread our music in general. Humanfly's 'Awesome Science' is our final release and we couldn't think of a better record to go out on which sums up what we love about physical records both musically and aesthetically. The label will still remain active for a while as we wind things down and continue to take and fulfil orders.
To celebrate/commiserate we are currently running a big sale on our store where every CD/vinyl/shirt/poster (except the new Humanfly album) is now reduced in price. For the next 2 weeks all our releases are set to 'pay what you like' on bandcamp too (except the new Humanfly album) so feel free to explore our back catalog and if you feel like paying some money we won't complain.
[News] Ty Segall Announces New Album 'Sleeper'
When the hell does Ty Segall sleep?? Apparently he's found time to rest amongst his barrage of releases, including last year's full-length albums Twins, Slaughterhouse and Hair and a few singles and covers this year. The rest won't last long, though, as the San Francisco rocker is releasing the follow-up to Twins on August 20th. It's titled Sleeper (haha). Watch the album announcement trailer below.

[Listen] Stream Holy Ghost!'s Funky New Single "Dumb Disco Ideas"
I'm a huge fan of Holy Ghost!, so when they dropped a new track this morning I was giddy as hell. The duo, made up of Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser, has that distinct DFA sound reminiscent of the late LCD Soundsystem, and this new cut "Dumb Disco Ideas" holds true to that. With the guidance of a thumping kickdrum and funky bassline, the song ropes you into six minutes of groovy, disco-inspired awesomeness. Check it out below paired with its simple visuals.
Frankel and Millhiser are back with their sophomore album Dynamics later this year, and "Dumb Disco Ideas" gives a great sense of what we can expect.
[News] Dot to Dot Festival 2013 Lineup
After announcing the first round of acts earlier in the year, in two weeks Dot to Dot festival will take place across the three cities of Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham on May 24th-26th. Last year's event saw the likes Willy Moon, Pulled Apart by Horses and Wavves grace the stage and this year is shaping up to wow punters just as much promising the biggest event to date.
See the above poster for the rather impressive full line-up. It seems some SKoA favourites will be gracing the stages with The 1975, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Hawk Eyes, Tom Odell, Findlay, Swim Deep and London Grammar all performing over the weekend.
Across the three cities, numerous venues will be taking part in the day festival and if you make the jump you can see which postcodes to put into your Google maps for the weekend!
