[Watch] Daft Punk Preview New Song "Get Lucky," Featuring Pharrell, at Coachella and on SNL
Continuing the Daft Punk bombardment, the French duo have unveiled a short preview of their much-teased song "Get Lucky". First appearing on screens across the Coachella grounds a few nights ago, the video featured Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers performing over a minute of the track. That's a lot longer than the 15-second previews we've been seeing, and this extended teaser sounds freakin' fantastic. Last night, a high quality version of the teaser aired during Saturday Night Live, which you can watch below.
The teaser video also revealed some other notable mentions, namely the full list of collaborators featured on Random Access Memories. We already knew names like Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Todd Edwards, Pharrell, Chilly Gonzales and Panda Bear were contributing to the album, but it seems a few more names can be added to that list. The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas and DJ Falcon will also be adding their talents to what will certainly be an incredible album. As well, this fits with the supposedly confirmed tracklist for Random Access Memories. Take a look at below.

For fans of VW in New York City, the band has announced a hometown show at Roseland Ballroom on April 28th. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale on March 29th. Grab 'em here. Stream their latest single "Diane Young" below.
[Listen] Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. - "If You Didn’t See Me (Then You Weren’t on the Dancefloor)"
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. made an impressive debut with 2011's It's A Corporate World, spending the near-two years since touring in support of the album. But the Detroit duo is back, tucked away in the studio working on their sophomore LP. Before that, though, they'll dish out a four-track EP titled Patterns.
For an initial taste of what Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein have been up to, they're streaming the opening track from the EP, the lengthy titled "If You Didn’t See Me (Then You Weren’t on the Dancefloor)". It's an inviting tune, greeting you with twangy guitar melodies. This doesn't last long though, and shortly after the erupts in glittering synthesizers and echoing harmonies. I'm sold. Hell, I've been sold since these two started making music together. Check it out below.
Patterns EP is out digitally on April 16th, followed by a Record Store Day vinyl release on April 20th.
Patterns EP Tracklist:
01. If You Didn’t See Me (Then You Weren’t on the Dancefloor)
02. Dark Water
03. Hiding
04. Habits

[News] Deerhunter Announces New Album, 'Monomania'
Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox spoke to Rolling Stone last month, confirming that the band was working on a new album. The follow-up to 2010's excellent Halcyon Digest now has an official title, Monomania, and a firm release date, May 7th, and is the result of lengthy recording sessions at Rare Book Room Studio in Brooklyn. The band "stockpiled upward of 250 potential songs for the new disc" but have wittled that down to twelve, which Cox describes as "a very avant-garde rock & roll record".
We've yet to hear anything from the new record but the band seems confident, citing The Ramones, Ricky Nelson, Pierre Schaeffer, Steve Reich, and Bo Diddley as major influences. For now, all we can mull over is the tracklist for Monomania, which you can check out below.

[Watch] Sigur Rós - "Brennisteinn" (Official Video)
I have a seriously hard time believing of all the things you can do in 7 minutes and 40 seconds today that this will not be by far the best use of your time. From their just recently announced forthcoming album, Kveikur, we have the video for their first single from the record, "Brennisteinn". I have to admit, over the past few years my love for Sigur Ros had begun to mellow out quite a bit. I happily bought their albums and put them on from time to time, but if this song is an accurate indication of what's to come for this new album, I believe I just fell madly in love with them all over again. As you can see and hear from the video above, "Brennisteinn" is a much darker, more aggressive approach than what the band has done in the past, and they did it with such balance and poise that you're a little taken back for a second and then immediately so drawn to it that you keep asking yourself throughout the rest of the song why this hadn't already existed before.
The countdown to June 17th (18th in the US) when Kveikur officially drops has begun. I need more of this and I need more of this NOW.
[Watch] Justin Timberlake - "Mirrors" (Official Video)
Justin Timberlake's emotional and lengthy single "Mirrors" gets an official video, and it fits perfectly alongside the soulful song. Beginning as a tale of two lovers, the clip flashes between their past and present, painting a picture of a beautiful and lasting relationship—on a heartwarming side note, the video is dedicated to Timberlake's grandparents, Sadie and William Bomar. This eventually shifts to shots of Justin singing and dancing in a hall of mirrors. Fitting. Check it out above.
In more Justin related news, The Hollywood Reporter reports that he confirmed the second half of The 20/20 Experience during his album release party at the El Rey Theatre in L.A. Monday night. This confirms what ?uestlove hinted at this past weekend. Looks like we can expect The 20/20 Experience Pt. 2 sometime soon.
