Robyn Unveils Body Talk Pt. 2 Release Date, Tours North America

Following up Body Talk Pt. 1, Robyn already has things in motion for the release of Pt 2 of the 3 part series. Set for release on September 7th, the lead single "Hang With Me" will be available for the world to purchase on August 17th. 

Robyn is also currently touring North America, kicking off the tour last weekend at Pitchfork Festival.

Interpol Tracklisting, Album Pre-Order, NYC Show Unveiled

With every passing day I am becoming increasingly excited for Interpol's forthcoming self-titled release on September 7th. 

This morning, Matador unveiled the tracklist and artwork for the album (shown above), complete with pre-order information and details about a NYC show on November 5th, which goes on sale at 10AM EDT. 

In addition to the standard CD/deluxe CD version, the album will be available in two different LP versions: an economy-priced single LP at $13.00, and an 180 gram double vinyl edition (two 45 RPM 12"s with large holes) at $19.00 (much like the deluxe CD, the double 12" version will only be available from the Matador Store or from  independent record shops). Matador Store preorders will receive a specially designed Interpol 45rpm adapter. A limited number (ie. one per day) of signed Shepard Fairey screenprinted portraits of Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler and Sam Fognarino are being given away as part of the preorder.

Liars 'Sisterworld' Tracklisting + Reinterpretations

Liars have confirmed the tracklisting and artwork for the 2CD version of their eagerly anticipated new album, Sisterworld, out March 9th, 2010 on CD, vinyl and a 2CD version with very special packaging.

 

The second disc of the 2CD release sees each track on Sisterworld reinterpreted by a host of artists including Thom Yorke, Devendra Banhart and Alan Vega (full tracklisting below) while the unique packaging allows a surreal glimpse into the Sisterworld concertina (visit http://thesisterworld.com/visualaid.html for a Sisterworld packaging visual aid).

Sisterworld, Liars’ boldest and most exhilarating record to date, is a dense art-pop thrill from start to finish and features the new single, Scissor, described by the NME as “a feral thriller” and released on February 16th. Sisterworld is Liars’ own space, completely devoid of influence, somewhere remote from the false promises and discarded dreams amassed in LA. In it Liars explore the underground support systems created to deal with loss of self to society.

 

Liars will tour North America in support of Sisterworld this coming Spring. The tour sees fellow LA band Fol Chen supporting Liars on all dates.
