[Watch] My Morning Jacket - "Outta My System" (Official Video)
My Morning Jacket's "Outta My System" has been getting a lot of attention these last few days, with a remix EP arriving tomorrow and now a brand new visual companion. MMJ frontman Jim James stars as a cyclops, while Zach Galifianakis stars as an evil wizard in this drug-fueled animated adventure. There really is no need to explain, all you should do is watch.
[Listen] My Morning Jacket - "Outta My System" (Washed Out Remix)
My Morning Jacket will be releasing a new EP tomorrow, titled Outta My System – Remixez Y Friendz, which sees them bringing along some friends to remix their song "Outta My System", which was originally part of their 2011 LP Circuital. Included in that "friends" category are folks such as Dave Sitek and Washed Out, who have lent their respective abilities to tweaking and tinkering with MMJ's track. The band has been kind enough to share Washed Out's remix of the song, which sees the chillwave aficionado adding delicate layers of reverb and synthpoppy goodness. Stream it below.
Outt My System - Remixez Y Friendz is out tomorrow digitally.
[Watch] My Morning Jacket Cover Gil Scott-Heron and Bing Crosby
Wrapping up their winter tour dates, Kentucky rockers My Morning Jacket played one final show at New York's famed Madison Square Garden last week. The band has been known to play covers while on stage, and this show was no different. During their performance, the Louisville outfit played a cover of the late Gil Scott-Heron's "The Bottle," as well as a cover of Bing Crosby's Christmas classic "I'll Be Home For Christmas," which was included on the band's holiday-themed iTunes session. The Bing Crosby classic also saw their opening act Band of Horses join in to play along. You can check out video footage of their covers after the jump.

[News] Bob Dylan Tribute Album: 'Chimes of Freedom' Tracklist Feat. QOTSA, My Morning Jacket, Pete Townshend & More
In celebration of Amnesty International's 50th Anniversary, a collection of Bob Dylan covers has been put together and is set for release in January on the 24th to be precise. The full tracklist has appeared and it's frikkin' crazy! Like good crazy and absurd crazy, you know?! It'll be a 72 track monster compiling 4 discs and a host of talent from the world of music. It also throws a few weird number sin but hey, you gotta take the good with the bad.
Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International will include covers from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age who take on "Outlaw Blues" from 1965's Bringing It All Back Home. My Morning Jacket tackle "You’re A Big Girl Now", Mariachi El Bronx add their fine acoustic goodness to "Love Sick". The Who’s Pete Townshend tackles the crooner number "Corrina, Corrina" and Cage the Elephant do "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll". Now, thrown into the mix we have Miley Cyrus covering Blood on the Tracks' "You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go". The one I really don't want to see covered in glitter and crap is "Don't Think Twice it's Alright" but that's been taken up by none other than Ke$ha. KE$SHA!? But still, this compilation will definitely be worth a listen. The full track listing of pure awesome can be found after the jump via CoS.

[Watch] Florence + The Machine, My Morning Jacket and Pete Townshend once again perform on Jools Holland
Earlier this week, Later... with Jools Holland played host to performances by Florence + The Machine, My Morning Jacket, and Pete Townshend of The Who. Well, it turns out that wasn't a one time thing, as all three acts returned to the Jools Holland set to perform on last night's episode. Florence + The Machine performed "Breaking Down" off of their sophomore album Ceremonials, My Morning Jacket played two songs, the first being "First Light" and the second "You Wanna Freak Out," while Townshend finished it off with the classic Who track "Drowned." If all this wasn't enough, another surprise hit the Jools Holland set this week, as Mary J. Blige performed her song "Need Someone" off of her upcoming album My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act 1). You can watch all of the performances after the jump.
