[Listen] Bombay Bicycle Club - "How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep" (Tom Vek's Big Beatnik Mix)

I fell in love with the Bombay Bicycle Club single "How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep" and the video was just a treat for the eyes too. Then the band then brought the track to the studio of Last Call with Carson Daly and now we get to hear another take on the single from Tom Vek who's re-worked the single adding his own magic touch to the song. He's given the track a bit more upbeat feel whilst keeping the foundations well and truly intact. It's been named 'Tom Vek's Big Beatnik Mix' so see if it lives up to that title below.

Bombay Bicycle Club's A Different Kind of Fix is out everywhere now.

[Listen] Clock Opera - "Lesson No.7" & Tom Vek's Tripping Mix

A great Saturday listen for you right here coming from London four piece Clock Opera and their new single "Lesson No.7". Set for release on October 3rd via Moshi Moshi this track slowly builds up into a crashing drum beat filled with hard hitting bass lines and synth, then pair it up with vocalist Guy Connelly's melodies and the results are wonderful.

Not only can you hear the single but there's a Tom Vek Tripping Mix too which sees the songs structure rearranged a bit with a more sombre feel paired up with a glitchy start and less crazy guitars and drums. A nice yin to the originals yang. Give both tracks a listen below and peep the bands upcoming UK tour dates after the jump.

[Watch & Listen] DJ Shadow - "I'm Excited" (Video) x "Warning Call" Feat. Tom Vek

It was a nice weekend while it lasted, but we couldn't stay away too long and deprive you beautiful folks with new tunes, videos and news. Take a peep at the newest visuals for the track "I'm Excited" from DJ Shadow's highly anticipated return album The Less You Know The Better which features M.I.A. collaborator Afrikan Boy (and also reminds me a bit of an M.I.A. video).

And for a bonus treat, our homies at Solesides have hooked us up with another exclusive track from the upcoming album titled "Warning Call" featuring the always amazing Tom Vek. Shadow is definitely shutting up the haters still whining about The Outsider this time around from what we have hear thus far. Check out the new track below as well as another hot banger from the LP "Stay The Course" featuring Posdnuos & Talib Kweli here.

[Watch] Tom Vek - "Aroused" (Video)

Tom Vek has let loose his new visuals for the track "Aroused" via Nowness and he spoke to them a little about its inspiration. He said: "It's a nod to the way in which smoking is used heavily and quite innocently in art and fashion." And if you give it a watch I think you'll agree that it is a pretty fashion conscious and the use of black and white adds to the arty feel it has going. Add to that some weird Madonna style voguing and slo-mo. The track features on Vek's sophomore album Leisure Seizure.

[Watch] Tom Vek - "World Of Doubt" (Video)

After five plus years of silence from Tom Vek, out of nowhere, last month we got new material from the man. Today we have more for you guys to enjoy in the form of his visuals for the track, "World Of Doubt". The track is now the second preview we have had from his forthcoming LP Leisure Seizure. The video's an interesting watch, and at no point does Vek make an appearance. On the plus side, it's nice to have more material from him and I look forward to the release of the new LP Leisure Seizure which is out digitally on the 7th of June. You can pre-order yourself a copy over on his official website.

Head on over here to check out "A Chore" and after that why not have a listen to Tom's re-work of it too which came a few weeks later.
