Sydney Rockers Little May Announce World Tour
Sydney trio Little May have revealed that they will be hitting the road starting in September on a world tour in support of their upcoming debut album, For The Company, which drops on October 9th courtesy of Dew Process and Capitol Records. Tickets for their US dates are on sale now which you can snag over on their website.
If you haven't heard their debut single, "Home" yet you need to get on that ASAP. This is a great first taste of what's to come. [Album Stream] The National - 'Trouble Will Find Me'
Last week we got to see The National's video for "Sea of Love" in which they paid homage to one of their "favorite punk rock videos". That track features on the brilliant sounding new album Trouble Will Find Me which is released next week on May 21st via 4AD. As is the norm these days you can stream it in its entirety prior to that via their band page on iTunes. With their previous effort High Violet getting so much love I'm guessing a lot of people are excited to hear the self produced effort featuring guest spots from Sufjan Stevens, Annie Clark, and Sharon Van Etten to name a few.

[Watch] The National - "Sea of Love" (Official Video)
The National will later this month release their new album Trouble Will Find Me, the follow up to their highly acclaimed High Violet. Now in preparation for that and to get us all a little excited for the release, they've released the video for "Sea of Love". It see them performing in a tiny room with the help of a little dude on air guitar. It's fun to watch and pays homage "to one of our favorite punk rock videos" as they call it; Zvuki Mu and their track "Grubiy Zakat". You can watch their version below. It's pretty much a spot on replica from The National.
Trouble Will Find Me is due out on the 21st of May via 4AD and you can pre-order a copy now.
[News] Outside Lands 2013 Announces Lineup
The official lineup for Outside Lands Festival 2013 is here, and it looks to be pretty good. Topping off the bill are Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The National, Vampire Weekend, D’Angelo, Kaskade, Pretty Lights, Jurassic 5, Willie Nelson, Hall and Oates, and Grizzly Bear.
Rounding out the eclectic lineup are Wavves, Young The Giant, Band of Horses, A-Trak, Yeasayer, Matt & Kim, The Tallest Man on Earth, Foals, Youth Lagoon, Gary Clark Jr., Jessie Ware, Dillon Francis, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Surfer Blood, Chromatics and Smith Westerns. While not as good as last year's lineup, which was headlined by Metallica, Neil Young, The Kills, Foo Fighters, Jack White, Beck, Sigur Ros, this year seems promising. Check out the full lineup here or below in a ridiculously charming announcement video.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday, April 18th, at 12 noon PDT at the festival's official website. Outside Lands takes place August 9-11 in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
[Listen] The National - "The Rains of Castamere"
It's been a little quiet on the scene regarding The National in recent months. On the other hand it's been rather noisy on HBO's hit show Game of Thrones, I won't spoil anything for anyone but I bloody hate Joffrey! Tyrion on the other hand, genius. The band must be pretty fond of the show too as they've contributed a song the Game of Thrones’ season two soundtrack. Apparently the track was penned by the main man himself and the creator of GoT, George R.R. Martin himself! The lyrics do contain some spoilers though for the series so hit play at your own discretion. Is it Sunday yet? I need a new episode of this show!
