[Listen] The Kooks - "Pumped Up Kicks" (Foster The People Cover) Radio One's Live Lounge

The Kooks were today's musical guest of choice in Radio One's Live Lounge and they decided to cover the summer anthem that we've previously seen big hitters Weezer cover, you know the one I'm talking about, it's Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks". A little bit of a shaky start from Luke but after 30 seconds the songs picks up pace and works pretty well. I've always found Luke's live vocals to be a little 'off' at times so give it a listen for yourselves below and let us know if you approve.

[News] The Kooks Add US Tour Dates

In addition to their previously announced tour dates in Europe, Brit rockers The Kooks have announced even more tour dates to fill up the rest of their year. This time around, the band will be heading stateside to support their next album Junk of the Heart, which hits stores on September 13th. The band will be going on a 17-date U.S. tour beginning on November 15th in Philadelphia. It'll be the group's first trek in three years, during which they've emerged as one of the hottest young bands in the U.K.

Expect the Kooks' new material to be some of their most upbeat yet. "What we really wanted to do was build a proper, full album," frontman Luke Pritchard tells SPIN. "Something you can listen to from front to back." SPIN also has an exclusive download of a new song — an awesome acoustic version of the album's killer title track, which has been burning up alternative radio this summer. Download it in exchange for an email address below.

You can check out the band's Fall tour dates after the jump.

[Watch] The Kooks - "Is It Me"

After waiting three long years for a new album from The Kooks, the wait is finally coming to an end! The band is set to release their first single from their highly anticipated upcoming album, Junk Of The Heart on September 5th, courtesy of Virgin. The single is called "Is It Me", which you can check out via the player above. I don't know about you, but I have missed Luke Pritchard's voice and lyrics so much in the past three years. It's so good to have him and the boys back with fresh material.

Junk Of The Heart is scheduled to drop a week after "Is It Me", on September 12th. At the end of September the band will start a tour in the UK, which we're almost certain will extend elsewhere in the coming months, so check back here for more info.
