[Watch] Kibbe Guest Hosts Today's Episode of Rock It Out! Blog
Our good friend Sami over at Rock It Out! Blog asked me if I would guest host for an episode of his show this week and I happily accepted. As per his Wednesday ritual, I made sure to share some bands that I thought people should check out this week, which included Sharks, Wazu and Breton. Hope you guys enjoy!
[Watch] Sharks - "Arcane Effigies" (Official Video)
Sharks have burst onto our speakers this year and keeping their exposure strong today they've released the official video for their track "Arcane Effigies". The track itself is set to appear on the band's forthcoming LP, No Gods, and the video sees the band in their home-town of Leamington Spa. Nice place if you get to visit!
No Dogs will drop in stores on March 20th.
[Listen] Sharks - "Arcane Effigies"
UK-based band Sharks has unveiled their playfully catchy tune, "Arcane Effigies", which is the lead single from their forthcoming album, No Gods, slated for a March 20th release on Rise Records. That's right. Rise Records. Listen to this song again and then think about everyone else on Rise: Devil Wears Prada, Miss May I, Sleeping With Sirens, Attack Attack! etc. At first I didn't understand why everyone in their YouTube comments is so up in arms about this band until I rememebered exactly who all was on Rise's roster.
This signing is definitely out of left field, but is it really that big of a crime for a label to take a chance on something different? Although there are plenty of haters on the band solely because they're not screaming and whinning about something for once, there are about more than double the amount of supporters trying to make the trolls go away. I think if any label is willing to take a chance on a band that it's a great thing, even if it's out of their comfort zone, so my hat is tipped to you, Rise.
Also, whatever. They must be doing something right if they're heading out on tour with Social Distortion. You can check out the dates below.
