[Watch] Mr. Little Jeans - "Runaway" (Fool's Gold Remix)
Fool's Gold have reworked Mr. Little Jeans' track "Runaway" turning the already great track into a more up-tempo number. The Fool's Gold gang add bigger beats and with the use of layered drums the original vocals take a back seat, echoing their way through the mix with the results being a winning combo. A great little pick me up for your Thursday afternoon. Check it out below.

Remember last summer when an awesome sounding cover of Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" hit the net from a project called Mr. Little Jeans? If not, go refresh your memory 'cos it's bloody brilliant. After that though, we now get a new track and an accompanying video for a track called "Runaway". The Norwegian artist known as Monica Birkeness is looking likely to be released this summer so we'll hopefully be hearing more from the project in the coming months. Way back in May a song came from the depths of the internet that made us stop in our tracks and re-evaluate a few things. It was a cover of Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" by Norwegian singer Mr. Little Jeans and to say it was good would be an understatement. 3 months later and those video making peeps at the High Five Collective have done it again and created a great video for the aforementioned Norwegian singer. This original version of this song doesn't feel a year old at all but this version brings a nice breath of fresh air on a sticky summers day. The video is too, and it's what we've come to expect from H5C. In a word, great. Albeit a little weird.

It seems like covers are all the rage the past few days, and this one may just top the lot. I'm not usually a big fan of cover versions but this original, electronica take on Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" is just great. The track comes from Norwegian singer Mr. Little Jeans and it throws in warble filled bass and synth sounds in place of the grandiose instruments on AF's original version turning the song into a completely different beast. All in all, it's perfect Monday listening, seriously. Parts of it remind me of Tobacco like sounds. Could just be me though, check it out for yourselves and let me know!
