I am a very happy Kibbe today, let me tell you! I have been waiting for this album since the first time I heard "When We Were Young" a few months ago. MTV got the hookup on a full album stream a week before the album officially drops next week (October 29th) courtesy of Columbia Records/Mad Decent. I'm only two songs in at the moment and already I'm very upset that I am confined to my desk at work instead of blasting this in Kibbtopia and dancing around like a crazy person.

I personally will probably pony up for the deluxe version, but I will be waiting on that until after the dust settles on the damage I do at CMJ this week (more on that later btw!).

[Watch] Dillon Francis - "I Can't Take It" (Lyric Video)

Normally I'm not much for lyric videos. The one for Dillon Francis' latest single, "I Can't Take It", however, is something I can definitely get on board with. Following up his previous single that I played on repeat for a grand total of 11 times the first time I heard it, "When We Were Young" along with his first single, "Get Low", this latest track slows things down a bit for the sake of getting good and nasty. Both tracks come from Francis' forthcoming debut album, Money Sucks Friends Rule, which is slated for an October 28th release. You can pre-order the album over on iTunes if that's your thing. For those not in the know, Money Sucks, Friends Rule will feature collaborations from the likes of DJ Snake, Chain Gang of 1974, Martin Garrix, Twista, Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie, The Presets and Major Lazer, among others. 

Upon the release of his debut album, Franics will be heading out on The Friends Rule Tour this fall, beginning in November and wrapping with a massive headline date at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in January. Peep the dates below for more info!

[News] Bestival Announces Line-Up Additions; Beck & Foals join Outkast as headliners

Bestival has just announced its initial line-up and it's going to be hard to beat in terms of ending your summer on a high in 2014. Beck and Foals will top the bill at the event, joining the returning duo of Outkast, as announced last week. The rest of the acts announced are Disclosure, Major Lazer, Sam Smith, CHVRCHES, London Grammar, Wild Beasts, Caribou, Clean Bandit and Laura Mvula.

As is tradition with the festival, it will have a theme and this year it's 'Desert Island Disco'. I think opens up a few more options compared to 2013's nautical 'HMS Bestival' theme so get your thinking caps on if you're planning on grabbing a ticket.

Bestival takes place from September 4th-7th on the Isle of Wight and tickets are on sale now.

First, he gave us the bizarre video for Beach House's "Wishes," and now he's giving us something even more bizarre. Bringing Major Lazer's goofy single "Bubble Butt" to life, viewers can indulge in countless amounts of bouncing, jiggly bubble butts, tentacles that give hipster girls bubble butts, and oh so many bubble butts. Making up for the delay of Free the Universe, Major Lazer promised three free mixtapes to tide fans over. The volume one and two of Lazer Strikes Back have already been released, and now Lazer has offered up the third and final volume. This edition features remixes by Vato Gonzales, Avicii, and CAMP UFOs, as well as a remix by Major Lazer themselves. Download the mixtape below.

While we wait for Major Lazer's sophomore album Free the Universe, which has had multiple delays, the Diplo-led project is making up for it with three free mixtapes. The first, Vol. 1, was released a few weeks back and now they've offered up Vol. 2. This one features remixes of "Original Don", "Jah No Partial" and "Get Free" along with a Baauer rework. [Listen] Major Lazer and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend Team Up for "Jessica"

It was reported last year that Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig was going to feature on Major Lazer's Free the Universe, and now you can hear the results of that collaboration. Koenig was quick to post a radio rip of the new track, titled "Jessica", after it debuted on Annie Mac's BBC Radio show this weekend. The cut features some sultry vocals from the VW frontman, and mellow, tropical jams to match his longing croons. Stream the track below.

Free the Universe is (hopefully) out on April 19th, while Vampire Weekend's third album Modern Vampires of the City is set to drop on May 7th.
