[Listen] Boots Electric - 'Honkey Kong' (Full Album Stream)

We've been anticipating getting a listen to this album for quite some time. It's the solo effort of Jesse Hughes aka Boots Electric and it was way back in April that we got wind that he was sexually fusing together some funky solo album which has now been mastered and is here for your listening pleasure. It goes by the name Honkey Kong and if you've been following this project closely you'll of already enjoyed the "Boots Electric Theme" which featured the wonderful Brody Dalle, as well as the catchy "Complexity". There was also an entertaining album preview/tease from Jesse in the studio which had some awesome quotes in such as: "How's my hair, does it make my dick look fat?".

Honkey Kong hits stores next week on the 19th of September in the UK and 20th in the US.

[Listen] Boots Electric - "Complexity"

Last week we got to see Jesse Hughes aka Boots Electric strutting his funky thang in the studio in prep for the release of his album Honkey Kong, and today we get to hear a new song from it too! As you may have noticed from the samples in the trailer vid last week it sounds kind of funky and this track titled "Complexity" with its fast paced drums will make you want to get up and have a dance. I'd love to sit down and have a beer with this guy, seriously.

Jesse Hughes aka Boots Electric has put out a trailer which has a little bit of insight into what's to come from his debut solo album, Honkey Kong. The video shows a little tour of the studio and also if you're a guitar player you can steal his sound as Jesse shows you his pedal board and has a little play along to some backing tracks. He says the album is a full of dance songs and from the vibe we're getting he may be right. Opening quote from the video: "How's my hair, does it make my dick look fat?". [News] Boots Electric Announces European Tour

We've had our first taste of Jesse Hughes' new project Boots Electric not too long ago with his track, "Boots Electric Theme" featuring Brody Dalle. Today he has announced a European Tour and will hit up a few lucky cities on his travels come September. Starting out at Lido in Berlin, he'll play a short burst of 4 other dates finishing at XOYO in London on September 19th. As of now the dates below are the only to be announced. I expect more may appear in the near future, then again what do I know. If you're in one of the 4 cities below, lucky you!

We've previously introduced you to Jesse Hughes' new alter ego, Boots Electric a while back but as seems the case a lot these days plans change and people change. Luckily though Boots is here to stay, and today we get to taste the sweet nectar of his music for the first time, and it's been a long time coming! Pairing up with Brody Dalle of Distillers/Spinnerette, Boots has let loose the track "Boots Electric Theme", 'cos you know everyone needs their own theme tune. Although I always feel like mine was the same as Larry David's, not quite as cool.

[News] Say Hello to Boots Electric

I'd noticed Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal had been hanging with Travis Keller of Buddy Head a lot recently and now I know why. Jessie has launched his solo project, Boots Electric, who's first release will be a 12 inch vinyl single via Miracle Records which has been started up by Travis aka the man behind BuddyHead.com. Awesome news huh? There's also a pretty cool interview between Travis and Boots over here if you want an insight into the life of Jesse.
