[Watch] Jagwar Ma - "Come Save Me" (Official Video)

Jagwar Ma have been riding the psych-powered wave they've road over from Australia on for a while now. While at it, they're sounding like they've somehow managed to travel back in time to the 90's, and quite frankly it's bloody marvelous. Their new single, "Come Save Me", is set to be released on October 14th via Marathon Records and it's been given a fitting visual accompaniment full of colour and psychedelic trips. The band are on tour right now and will return to the UK for some newly announced dates in 2014. All of their current shows can be found over here. Can someone please slow the rate at which the earth is spinning 'cause this year has flown by?! Be sure to check them out live if you can after having your mind warped a little by the video below.

[Listen] Jagwar Ma - "Come Save Me" (Andrew Weatherall Remix)

Sydney duo Jagwar Ma have created quite a bit of buzz with their psych-fused 90's guitar and dance combination. Their album, Howlin', is a great listen and they've just announced their new single to be "Come Save Me" which comes packaged with a 7 minute remix from Andrew Weatherall and another from Pachanga Boys. You can stream the former below in all of its trippy glory. The original song was born out of a late sleepless night and the remix sounds like what you may listen to as a party is winding down at 6am. See for yourselves below.

[Listen] Jagwar Ma - "Man I Need (White Label Version)"

Jagwar Ma have just let loose a follow up to their single "The Throw" which we heard at the start of the year. This track is yet again a throwback to what I mentioned in the previous post on these guys, Madchester. I live in Manchester now and live in the wake of that period on a daily basis. Certain bars and clubs never left that era of music and drug exploration, Jagwar Ma though, like me, were far too young to be part of it in the 90's. Does that mean they can't make their own sound be a hat tip to that decade? No, and that's exactly what they've done yet again with "Man I Need" a near 10 minute track with aspects of Happy Mondays and The Stone Roses laced throughout. Check it out below.

[Watch] Jagwar Ma - "The Throw" (Official Video)

Last week we got to enjoy a track titled "The Throw" from the Sydney-based duo Jagwar Ma. Today we get the video to sit along side it nicely. It's drenched in plenty of retro sounds and surf pop elements sure to take the blues away. The video is a 90's throwback too that reminds me of the Happy Mondays in some ways and everything that came with them. Maybe it's just the odd colour blocks and the fact I got rather drunk with Bez randomly at the weekend and that whole scene is on my mind. Remember Madchester? Yeah, it's got that kind of vibe throughout. See if that's your type of thing up at the top.

[Listen] Jagwar Ma - "The Throw"

Sydney duo Jagwar Ma briefly entered my radar last year, but shortly after they appeared they drifted away. Until yesterday that is. The duo are back, following up last year's "Come Save Me" and "What Love?" with a new single titled "The Throw". Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, the song combines elements of surf pop with nostalgic '60s vibes, all the while electronic elements flicker in and out effortlessly. With a length such as this, "The Throw" does transform as it progresses, adopting a darker, electronic-oriented sound as it goes. It's a refreshingly expansive soundscape, and hopefully the pair build upon these elements. Stream it below.
