[Watch] How to destroy angels_ - "Ice Age" (Official Video)

How to destroy angels_ have let loose their video accompaniment for "Ice Age" which featured on their EP, An omen_. Directed by the talented John Hillcoat the video is a dark and eerie. It sees Mariqueen Maandig singing along with Trent in the background on keys. She's staring longingly into the ocean  as if she's looking for something but what... It's a beautifully shot visual clocking in at just over 7 minutes long. Take the time from your day, have a break, put your feet up, and enjoy.

A full length effort is expected early next year.

Trent Reznor’s project with Atticus Ross, Rob Sheridan and his wife Mariqueen Maandig How to destroy angels_ have some new music coming our way in the shape of the EP An Omen_. Now you may be wondering why there's an underscore in their name now and the first letter is capitalised? Pitchfork points out that they're going to "capitalise the first letter of everything, and adding underscores in random places." Cool.

We look forward to typing out the titles in the coming months but whatever, today you can listen to the first track from the upcoming EP, titled "Keep it together" it is also set to feature on their album due out next year.

[Download] Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross - "Hand Covers Bruise" (No Piano) (From The Social Network Score)

This is a funny coincidence or just an act of awesomeness since my buddy Sami (of Rock It Out! Blog) and I were having a conversation (after watching the amazing movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) about when the first leak to The Social Network score would surface and he said "Give it a few days." Then BAM! just like that the first track "Hand Covers Bruise" hits the web (courtesy of RiO!B and OneThirtyBPM) a few days later. Coincidence? I dont think so.

The film hits theaters on October 1st and the score should hopefully release at the same time or around that date. Check it out below!

How To Destroy Angels Prepare Full Length LP Release for 2011

According to TwentyFourBit, in a Q&A session on HTDA's Tumblr, Reznor dropped the news: “We are working on a full-length release now. We hope to have it released Q1 2011.” And in response to a subsequent question regarding the EP Reznor elaborated on why they opted to release an initial 6-track collection:

[T]his EP is an artifact of the very first experiments we tried together. We were going to wait until we had a large batch of songs and then distill them down from there, but we liked this first collection and decided to release them. I would expect the next release to sound a bit more focused as we discover more about our combined chemistry.

This is exciting news! If you haven't already grabbed HTDA debut EP make sure you pick it up here!
