[Watch] Glassjaw's Reading Festival Set
Glassjaw being announced to be playing Leeds and Reading Festival was a surprise, the fact they were playing pretty far up the second largest stage, the NME tent, was an even bigger surprise. Hey, ho, they played a great set albeit to a smaller crowd than I would have anticipated. If you weren't at either Leeds or Reading and didn't get to catch these guys rocking their stuff, don't fret, we've done the leg work and you can stream the majority of the set after the jump. First up is "Vanilla Poltergeist Snake" at the top with some both new and old material up after the jump.

[News] Glassjaw Added To Leeds & Reading Festival Line-up
It is April Fools Day so this better not turn out to be a hoax, but today over on the official Festival Sites they have made quite the announcement. Glassjaw have been added to the weekend and will perform on the NME / Radio 1 Stage on Saturday 27th August in Reading, and Sunday 28th August in Leeds. They join the likes of Muse, The Strokes, Death From Above 1979 and a host of other acts, not to mention hundreds that will continue to be announced right up until the August Bank Holiday weekend. Following up years of silence they came from nowhere mid last year to begin releasing a floury of single each month culminating in the release of an EP, Our Colour Green. It's sure to be a show to see over the weekend and I'm pretty glad I got my ticket early. You can still grab yours over here if you want to join in the festivities for what's shaping up to be a pretty solid lineup this year.
[News] Glassjaw EP 'Colouring Book' Details

[News] Glassjaw to play London show x 'Colouring Book' EP update
Earlier today a Glassjaw announced a show that they are to play in the UK. It's to take place on Wednesday the 30th of March in London at the HMV Forum. As with the American shows the UK ticket holders will recieve a copy of their EP Colouring Book.
On Jan. 11th we first got wind of this new EP when the band put up another new track titled "Gold" but news regarding the EP was pretty scarse. Today it looks like we have news though that the EP is set to have 6 new unheard tracks on it. This is according to the Ticket merchants who are statng stating: "Ticket price includes 6 track ep featuring new Glassjaw material. To be collected at the venue on the night of the event."
If you are in London that week check them out or wherever you may be head on over here to grab yourself a ticket.
[Listen] Glassjaw - "Gold" x Album & Tour News
Well, that was a shorter wait than I expected. Since August last year we have been getting goodies from Glassjaw every month in a sort of regular fashion with tracks coming on the 9/9 10/10, 11/11 etc. They also performed a show in New York on New Years day which I've heard the word "legendary" being thrown about over. At this show the band debuted a load of new tracks (if you like the sound of that, go pick up a bootleg we posted last week). Anyway, after that show they also released a single package titled Our Color Green which you can pick up over here.
Today we got a bonus which takes the form of another previously unheard studio track, "Gold" which you can stream in full below. There's a lot of action going down on GJ.com and Glassjaw.com too?! The new album is looking ever more likely to get a release date soon under the title Colouring Book. Over on the official site as you can see from the image above, there'll be exclusive availability of the "extended play" EP Colouring Book at venues they are about to tour free of charge! Excited much?!
The venues and shows you need to be interested in can be found over here at their official store here. I'd be quick as from what I've heard LA has already sold out! These boys know how to DIY there way to a loyal fanbase and are giving up the goods, proving their worth. Enjoy.
[Download] Check Out These Live Bootlegs From Eminem, Gorillaz & Glassjaw
Remember that episode of "What's Happening" where Rerun and the gang get caught bootlegging a Doobie Brothers show? No? Yeah, I wasn't born around that time either. Anyways, over the last few days i've seen my fair share of some quality show recordings upon the interwebz and thought it would be nice share with you guys.
One, being the full concert audio from last September’s Detroit stop of the Home and Home tour featuring Eminem and Jay-Z. CoS reports that Shade45, the Sirius XM radio channel owned and operated by the Detroit rapper, compiled and premiered Eminem's set on the station on New Year’s Eve and thanks to the wonders of technology is now available for you to listen in the link below.
Second, is courtesy of Gorillaz-Unofficial, for their fan made live compilation Gorillaz album Plastic Beach Live. Which is made up of two disc, one being the whole Plastic Beach album performed live (from various locations) and the second disc is made up of other live performances during their recent tour. You can grab that one as well in the links below.
And lastly, is from the scremo band that is making their comeback, yes you guessed right, Glassjaw. This one is courtesy of Glassjaw.net and was taken from the group's recent new year's day show at the Best Buy Theatre. The band played most of their classic tracks and some of their newer singles (that were released on vinyl over the last few months) and 4 brand new songs! Just like the others you can check that show out as well, in the links below.

[Watch] Glassjaw - "All Good Junkies Go To Heaven"
In the last few months we've had quite a lot of Glassjaw news. Multiple vinyl releases and even a surprise gig last month to a few lucky pizza buyers in New York. And now they've posted up another video of them jamming out a one of those releases, "All Good Junkies Go To Heaven". Previously in a similar set up we've had a chance to see them perform "Stars", "Jesus Glue" and "You Think You're (John Fucking Lennon)". As 12/12/10 draws ever closer what else can we expect to see from these guys within the next few weeks. Keep checking back and we will let you know as soon as something comes up!
