[News] Fugazi Releasing Live Concert Archive For Download

We saw that Red Hot Chili peppers are to release live convert recordings on their upcoming world tour and now Fugazi have announced too that they are releasing live recordings from the archive. Digging deep into their live archives they are set to release over 800 concerts from between 1987-2003 for fans to download! 800 shows! Unlike RHCP who've named their price, Fugazi are letting the fans decide and they can pay $5 (suggested) for a download but you can pay just $1 if you like or maybe you're feeling generous and want to give 'em $100, that's cool too!

The Fugazi Live Series will be available from December the 1st starting with 130 shows being avaialble over at their website for people to enjoy with more being added regularly until the full 800 shows are up. Fugazi fans rejoice for you have a lot of listening to prepare for!

We're one day away until Wugazi Wednesday and we get another taste of Cecil Otter and Swiss Andy's upcoming release 13 Chambers before its release tomorrow. Check out the track "Slow Like That" courtesy of Rolling Stone in the player below. This mash up blends Ghostface Killah and Ne-Yo's 2006 single "Back Like That" with the Fugazi's  "Slo Crostic" cut from the soundtrack to the band's documentary Instrument.

We get another taste of the upcoming Wu Tang x Fugazi Mash Up Mixtape, Wugazi aka Doomtree's Cecil Otter and "Swiss" Andy Lund of The Swiss Army and The Millionth Word fame, 2 days away from it's release. Check out the newest banger "Forensic Shimmy" which takes Fugazi's classic "Forensic Scene" and combines it with the rhymes of the legendary Ol Dirty Bastard's classic "Shimmy Shimmy Ya."

A week away from it's release, we get another fresh joint from the upcoming Wu Tang x Fugazi mash up album, 13 Chambers by Wugazi who consist of Andy Lund & Doomtree's Cecil Otter. Check out the newest track "Sweet Release" which combines Fugazi's "Sweet and Low" with Method Man's "Release Your Delf."

Check out the previous Wugazi track, "Sleep Rules Everything Around Me",which is a SKoA favorite and blends the classic Wu Banger "C.R.E.A.M." and Fugazi's "I'm So Tired." 13 Chambers drops next week on the 13th as a free download at Wugazi.com.

What a nice Hump Day surprise this is! From completely out of left field we have word of a mashup project titled Wugazi that, as you may be able to guess from the name, is a blend of Wu-Tang and Fugazi. Doomtree, who is involved with the project, has done an excellent job keeping the information the perfect amount of vague to make us all bonkers to know more, posting on their site:

"It gives us great joy to unveil the first song off of an homage project that is quite close to all of us here at Doomtree:  WUGAZI (that’s Wu-Tang Clan and Fugazi in case you were born after the year 2000).  Many more details will be trickling out over the next two weeks, but for now click on the image below and be one of the first to check out the awesome “Sleep Rules Everything Around Me,” the first leak off of 13 Chambers.  Perfect for 4th of July BBQ’s"

I gotta say, "Sleep Rules Everything Around Me" is quite the excellent blend of Wu's "C.R.E.A.M." and Fugazi's "I'm So Tired". I doubt I could have dreamed up a better execution of the two, so bravo to the parties involved.
