It wasn't too long ago that we posted about this monster Bob Dylan tribute album featuring some awesome covers from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Silversun Pickups, The Gaslight Anthem, Bryan Ferry, Pete Townshend, Sinéad O’Connor, Elvis Costello, Fistful of Mercy, Bad Religion and Cage the Elephant to literally name just 10 of them! Today though, you can stream Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International in full, including a cover from Ke$ha. In case you're wondering she takes on a personal favourite of mine, "Don't Think Twice It's Alright" from Bobby D's 1962 album The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan.

[News] Bob Dylan Tribute Album: 'Chimes of Freedom' Tracklist Feat. QOTSA, My Morning Jacket, Pete Townshend & More
In celebration of Amnesty International's 50th Anniversary, a collection of Bob Dylan covers has been put together and is set for release in January on the 24th to be precise. The full tracklist has appeared and it's frikkin' crazy! Like good crazy and absurd crazy, you know?! It'll be a 72 track monster compiling 4 discs and a host of talent from the world of music. It also throws a few weird number sin but hey, you gotta take the good with the bad.
Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International will include covers from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age who take on "Outlaw Blues" from 1965's Bringing It All Back Home. My Morning Jacket tackle "You’re A Big Girl Now", Mariachi El Bronx add their fine acoustic goodness to "Love Sick". The Who’s Pete Townshend tackles the crooner number "Corrina, Corrina" and Cage the Elephant do "The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll". Now, thrown into the mix we have Miley Cyrus covering Blood on the Tracks' "You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go". The one I really don't want to see covered in glitter and crap is "Don't Think Twice it's Alright" but that's been taken up by none other than Ke$ha. KE$SHA!? But still, this compilation will definitely be worth a listen. The full track listing of pure awesome can be found after the jump via CoS.

[Watch] Fistful of Mercy Cover Bob Dylan, PJ Harvey and The Velvet Underground
Last year I was pretty excited when heard new of a new band called Fistful of Mercy consisting of Ben Harper, Joseph Arthur and Dhani Harrison. Their debut As I Call You Down was made available in October via Hot Records, and you can pick yourself up a copy over here.
The band were recieved with warm open arms and their live shows were also impressive out of a recording studio environment. You can see them in a live situation here, when they performed on Conan O'Brien's late night show where they perform lead single "Father's Son" with the help of RATM's Tom Morello.
Now, Their live show's consist of their debut but they have also played numerous covers on stage. As our friends over at TwentyFourBit have pointed out they do pretty good renditions of Bob Dylan’s 1975 Blood on the Tracks “Buckets of Rain” as well as PJ Harvey’s To Bring You My Love title track, and The Velvet Underground's “Pale Blue Eyes”. Check out the Dylan cover up top and the other two after the jump.

Ben Harper, Joseph Arthur and Dhani Harrison debuted their new project Fistful of Mercy last month on KCRW. And we have a treat for you on this lovely Friday in the form of a download of the track that inspired the bands name. Check out the beautiful harmonies these three talented guys have managed to create, it's simply spine tingling.
Over the space of three days they managed to go from no tracks and no idea what direction they were going in, to having recorded 9 acoustic tracks. Their debut album As I Call You Down is available from the 5th of October on Hot Records, you can pre order it over here. Download the track below and look out for these guys when they hit the road in November. I am waiting eagerly to hear more tracks from these guys and after downloading this you might be too.
