[SKOA Premiere] Findlay - "Off & On" (Romare Remix)

We introduced you to Manchester's Findlay last September via her track "You Gave Me Grace", and since then we've been eager to get more raw sounding material from her in your face blues. Her latest single, "Off & On", is every bit as great as we'd expected and today we've got a great little treat to offer up to you guys. It's a mind boggling remix of that track from Romare, who you may of heard of via his great sounding remix of Alt-J's "Breezeblocks".

Taking the original and cutting it up into smaller portions, he warps the foot stomping track into a frenzy of chopped samples and dance inducing early morning club sounds. The kind of early morning sounds you'll find yourself rocking back and forth after a few too many beers at 4am, except the rocking is brought on entirely by Romare's remix. Wonderful stuff, and perfect for your Tuesday afternoon. Grab yourselves the free download below.

For more information about the wonderful Findlay, why not check out her official website, on which you can grab a download of "Off & On" in its original state.

[Watch] Findlay - "Off & On" (Official Video)

We've mentioned Findlay a few times here on SKoA. And by a few, I literally mean twice. She comes from the city I live (Manchester) and makes damn good blues infused, energetic, foot stomping tunes that make you want to get up and have a dance along to. It grabbed my attention immediately when I heard it in the back half of 2012 and I've eagerly awaited more songs arriving in the mail.

Today was that day and a new track titled "Off & On" can now be enjoyed following up last year's tasters. It's set to appear on a brand new EP released later this month on the 29th via Manchester label Joyeux Anniversaire. Along with that, you can check out some live dates after the jump. Treat yourself. We'll be keeping a very close eye on Findlay in the coming month(s).

[Watch] Findlay - "Your Sister" (Official Video)

Remember last month when we introduced you to the talented Mancunian female going by the name of Findlay? No? Well don't worry about it as we're going to get familiar again with a video for her track "Your Sister". You can grab yourself a download of the track over on her official site. It's easy to see where the young talent draws her inspiration from with the blues rock of The White Stripes oozing through the seams. The choppy nature of the video also portrays the energy that the song carries.

Very excited to hear more from her. If you missed it when we posted it last month, check another track titled "You Gave Me Grace" here.

[Listen] Findlay - "You Gave Me Grace" x "Your Sister"

Today we've got new act we'd like to introduce you to and also to keep a close eye on in the coming months. She's called Findlay and humbles from Manchester and we have to blues filled tracks for you to enjoy today. First up is "You Gave Me Grace" followed by the rip-roaring and energetic number titled "Your Sister". She kind of reminds me of Alison Mosshart a little and most definitely has that kind of Jack White tinged rock going on. It will definitely be getting a lot of attention here on SKOA and we hope you like it too.

If you do indeed like it, she'll be supporting Jake Bugg on tour around the UK this coming November. Dates over here
