Not too long ago we posted up a download from Fake Blood who were releasing a series of mixtapes/reworks of old school hip hop records with all manor of other tracks. Up until now they've been pretty chilled out and easy listening, not what you may have originally expected from FB. Give Vol. 4 a download below.

Fake Blood are going to be putting out a few releases in the coming months and after a few rips showing up online over the last week, he's taken it upon himself to upload the high quality mix.He says he has "done 4 x 1 hour mixes (and a 5th is in the pipeline)" and this is the first taste of the new series of mixes titled Used. Putting together old and new, they fuse a new sound that isn't what you may have expected.
Below you can listen to Volume 1 in the series which is 58 minutes of musical goodness that will have you feeling pretty mellow throughout. Some nice tracks are thrown into the mix including some surprises. It's not what you'd expect from Fake Blood and I think this is a nice change of pace that would go well with a nice glass of vino or as backing music in the elevator as you head to some hotel room. [Download] The Black Ghosts - "Diamonds"
The Black Ghosts, are releasing their sophomore album When Animals Stare next week (8/1) courtesy of Southern Fried Records. To celebrate, the band is giving away a free track, "Diamonds", for your listening pleasure. The song is dark and haunting, which is mainly powered by Theo Keating's production skills. At the same time it somehow still manages to pepper in some pop elements with the assistance of Simon Lord's vocals. It's really a beautiful track.
