Later this year, Dinosaur Jr. will return with their tenth studio album, I Bet on Sky! Today the veterans have let loose the first taste of what's to come on the album with a track titled "Watch The Corners". If you make the jump over to Rolling Stone you can stream the new cut.

[Listen] Dinosaur Jr. Visit KEXP

Just before Christmas Dinosaur Jr. paid a visit to KEXP to put in some shred heavy performances of four of their tracks. Whilst at the studios they put in renditions of "Freak Scene", "Just Like Heaven", "Little Fury Things" and "Yeah We Know". Hat tip to A Heart Is A Spade for the heads up on this one. [Listen] Dinosaur Jr. - "I’ve Been Waiting For You" (Neil Young Cover)

Back in 1988 the likes of The Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth,Nick Cave, Pixies and Dinosaur Jr were enrolled to record covers of Neil Young tracks for the compilation: The Bridge: A Tribute to Neil Young. At the time Dinosaur Jr laid down two tracks, one of which, "Lotta Love", made it onto the final release. The other recording however was destined to be lost forever. Or so it seemed, as Lou Barlow has re-discovered the disregarded tape and we can now enjoy the cover of "I've Been Waiting For You" courtesy of the good peeps at Slicing Up Eyeballs.

Speaking of his discovery Lou said: "I found the cassette of this stuff while home for the holidays… it hasn’t aged well, not the condition of the tape (sounds whooshy + chewed), not the performance of "I’ve Been Waiting For You"… it ain’t great, but it’s RARE." Check out the super rare cut below and travel back to the 80's once more. 

[News] Weezer Present The World With: The Weezer Cruise

Ever thought it'd be cool to hang out with River Cuomo and co? Ever wanted to go on a cruise? If you answered yes to both of those then Weezer may have just made your life a whole lot better. They've announced The Weezer Cruise. Included will be live performances from Weezer, naturally, but along with that Dinosaur Jr along with solo and acoustic shows from J Mascis. Also hitting up the ship will be Wavves, the Antlers, Boom Bip, Gene Ween and Dave Dreiwitz, Yuck, Free Energy, Keepaway and Yacht Rock Revue, whatever that is. 

The cruise will travel from Miami to the Mexican island of Cozumel setting sail on January 19th until the 23rd. Including a Q & A with Weezer and all guests will get a photo with the band!
