[Watch] Chase & Status - Live At Glastonbury 2011
Dubstep/Electronic hit makers Chase & Status bring their latest platinum LP No More Idols to the Glastonbury festival to destroy the crowd with their rave heavy set and bring a few friends along for the ride. Check out highlights from their set above.
[Listen] Chase & Status - "Hitz" (Remix) Feat. Tinie Tempah & Wretch 32
This track was already banging when it was C&S and Tinie but now the boys add fellow UK Emcee Wretch 32 to the mix with a new hook and verse to make this an absolute smash. Check out the remix to Chase & Status' "Hitz" from their latest album No More Idols below.
[Listen] Chase & Status - "Rope" (Foo Fighters Cover) BBC Live Lounge
Todays musical guest in the ever more famous BBC Live Lounge was the duo of Chase & Status. More well known for their dance hits than their arena rock they took on the challenge of covering the legendary Foo Fighters. Not only that but they took on a recent track from the Foo's in the form of "Rope". Slowing the track down and adding some cool effects to boot, I was pleasantly surprised with the results.
Check it out for yourselves below and let us know if you think they did the song justice. Yes, it's not Dave Grohl, but, they gave it their own touch and for that I think they deserve a big ol' hat tip.
[News] Radio One's Big Weekend Main Stage Lineup Revealed; Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, Lady Gaga...
Every year Radio One put on their 'Big Weekend' at which a range of artists play slots to fans all who have won tickets for the event. I personally won tickets one year and the atmosphere is great due to everyone having a free weekend watching some great bands it truly is a little bit special. You may not like the entire lineup due to it being mainly Radio One plugged artists, and we wouldn't blame you. However with the amount of bands set to play there's always a stage to enjoy something at.
This year they announced, literally within the past hour, that Foo Fighters would be headlining the Saturday, with My Chemical Romance topping the bill on the Sunday. Then throughout both days on the main stage there's the likes of Tinie Tempah, Plan B, Chase and Status, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Black Eyed Peas, Nicole Sherzinger, Professor Green, Katy B, The Wombats, The Script along with a few others. That's just the main stage, throughout the week the other stages will be announced on numerous Radio One shows so keep your eyes peeled as we'll update this as and when. You can see the announced line up so far over here. Tickets are often given out in a raffle style way, or to loyal listeners of Radio One, and you enter competitions and what not. It's hard to get tickets but it's definitely worth a shot for a weekend full of free music. For now why not enjoy some footage of Muse playing the weekend a few years back.
UPDATE: Lady Gaga has just been announced too! For a free festival some of its performers rival those of major UK festivals. Just sayin'.

And our UK hip hop Saturday morning won't stop. Devlin recently swung by the Live Lounge with Ferne Cotton on BBC Radio 1 and performed a live session of his latest single "Let It Go" and "Dreamer" from his latest LP Bud, Sweat and Beers. [Listen] Chase & Status - "Hitz" Feat. Tinie Tempah
Earlier today BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe had Dubstep heavyweights and SKoA favorites Chase & Status in the legendary Maida Vale studio to perform some of their hits and talk about their upcoming album No More Idols. But thats not all folks! CnS premiered a brand new track off their No More Idols titled "Hitz" featuring the UK's current Hip Hop heavyweight Tinie Tempah. The story behind the title is that people expected the collaboration to be a mainstream hit but the track is "as street as it gets" according to Zane Lowe and I tend to agree. You know the track is so fresh if Zane had rewind in the middle of a track, which he never does, because of how amazing this track is. Don't think so? Listen to it for yourself below.
