[News] Miike Snow, Skrillex, Bloc Party to Headline HARD Summer 2012

The fifth year of Los Angeles' HARD Summer Music Festival, which takes place from August 3-4th at Los Angeles State Historic Park, will be headlined by Miike Snow, Skrillex, Bloc Party, James Murphy, Boys Noize, Nero, and Squarepusher. Also included in the lineup are A-Trak, Magnetic Man, Claude Von Stroke, Little Dragon, Erol Alkan, Datsik, aarabMUZIK, Danny Brown, Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, Action Bronson, John Talabot, 12th Planet, Dillon Francis, Gaslamp Killer, Gesaffelstein, Brodinski, Fake Blood, and Bootsy Collins and the Funky Unity Band, as well as DJ sets from both Chromeo and The Bloody Beetroots.

Two-day passes, as well as VIP passes, are now available to purchase through Fla.vor.us.

[Watch] Spank Rock - "#1 Hit" (Official Video)

Offered up here for your eyes is a weird and wonderful visual from Spank Rock for his track "#1 Hit" which we first got to hear back in July. The production duties fell to Boys Noize and Mark Ronson for this track and the video is filled full of some crazy looking characters that might unsettle a few stomachs so early in the morning, including the glasses wearing office guy in the video. None the less wake up and smell the coffee, hit play already! I don't think I'd like to see Spank in the mirror every time I looked at my reflection. No offence. Last night, BBC Radio 1 DJ, Annie Mac premiered yet another new tune from Spank Rock's forthcoming LP Everything is Boring and Everyone is a Fucking Liar titled "#1 Hit" produced by dance producer extrodinare Boys Noize. After 2 album tracks and a B-Side, it seems like the new Spank Rock album is steering away from the 808 heavy, B-More hip hop sound of his debut album into more of a modern dance record. Take a listen to the new track below and if you haven't already check out the album's first single "Energy" along with it's B-Side "DTF DADT".

Everything is Boring and Everyone is a Fucking Liar hits shelves and digital retailers on September 26th.

[Listen] Boys Noize & Erol Alkan - "Avalanche (Terminal Velocity)" Feat. Jarvis Cocker

Take two of the biggest names in electronic music, pair them up with a legend in his own right, Jarvis Cocker, and what do you get? An avalanche, that's what. A track called "Avalanche (Terminal Velocity)" has surfaced and it's a goodie. The track is a little dark and full of Boys Noize glitchey type stuff we've come to expect from the German producer and the well rounded English Erol Alkan has helped craft the track into reverb filled banger. The cherry on the top comes from Jarvis Cocker and his distinctive yet creepy vocal work. It simply makes a good track awesome.

This one will be getting a lot of play in the coming Summer month(s). Check it out below and turn it up loud. 

[Download] Spank Rock Returns With New Album And Song "Energy" Produced By Boys Noize

It's been awhile since we've heard from B-More rapper Spank Rock, well despite his recent collaborations with The Death Set, Mark Ronson and his side project Mobroder. But it's been nearly 5 years since Spank Rock dropped his debut LP Yoyoyoyoyo and now he's set to return with a brand new full length LP titled Everything Is Boring and Everyone Is a Fucking Liar which will feature production from electro dance producer Boys Noize (who also serve as the Exec. Producers for the album), Neptunes super producer Pharrell Williams, original Spank Rock producer XXXchange, Squeak E. Clean of N.A.S.A and Chris Rockswell.

The album also guest features the lovely Santigold on the track "Car Song" and i'm pretty sure Amanda Blank has to be on here somewhere, maybe. The album is set to be released September 13th and you can check out our first taste to the new album with the track "Energy" produced by Boys Noize in the player below and grab a free download after the jump.

[Listen] Charlotte Gainsbourg - "Trick Pony (Boys Noize Remix)"

Berlin DJ Boys Noize recently unleashed this remix of Charlotte Gainsbourg's song "Trick Pony" from the Stéphane Pompougnac compilation Night and Day, which was released in April on Because Music in France.

Word on the street is that Charlotte has tapped Beck one again to help her out with her new album. No other news on that as of yet, so check back for more details.
