It's chill af in NYC today. Literally. Like I'm having a hard time getting out of bed because I like my feet not being popsicles. I am writing this whilst I am still in bed. That said, the chill means that all the glorious fall albums are under way and CMJ is quickly approaching. I've also been on a steady streak of shows lately, which I will get up ASAP for you to see and be jealous of me. I'm also working to backdate all the show notes I kept saying I was upping and then rage quit because as you can see below these posts are intense as hell, you guys. OH WELL IT'S WORTH IT BECAUSE I LOVE DOING THIS!

We've had a few little summer jams from D-WHY over the past few months, we had the highly infectious "We Don't Know" and a cross over with Grimes in "Young Mariah". Today we get another new cut from him in the shape of him jumping on top of the pretty nice remix of Flight Facilities‘ "Crave You" by Aeroplane vs. Friendly Fires.
As we've mentioned before, D is preparing a new mixtape called, Don’t Flatter Yourself, this however won't feature so get your fill in prep for the tape drops.
[Listen] Cut Copy, Aeroplane, and Cosmic Kids Remix The Rapture
On January 17th, New York rockers The Rapture will be releasing a three-track remix EP for the single "Sail Away" from their latest LP In the Grace of Your Love. The remixes were done by Cut Copy, Aeroplane and Cosmic Kids, with the Cut Copy remix being of particular note. The Australian outfit's take on the song is an eight-minute epic fusion of synthesizers, percussion, piano, and all kinds of instrumentation. You can stream all three remixes below.

On Monday morning we all woke up to tragic news about French DJ and hip-hop producer DJ Mehdi. Over the course of the week we have seen the music community cope with his passing in different ways. Some artists tweeted their feelings, others postponed shows, and others took to their respective instruments to pay tribute to the outstanding DJ.
Earlier today, Aeroplane upped the song "Big Boys Don't Cry" as a means to get out some feelings on the subject. Have a listen below.

Brussles' very own Aeroplane have unveiled their second single, "Superstar" from their upcoming album We Can't Fly, due out September 27th, courtesy of Wall of Sound. The single will feature remixes by Chromeo and The Krays (Yuksek & Brodinski).
To hold you over till September 13th when "Superstar" officially drops, the band has put together a mixtape for you to enjoy.
