[Watch & Listen] Rufus Wainwright Shares Teaser Of Mark Ronson Produced Album x "Montauk"
Although I admittedly was not a huge fan of Rufus Wainwright's last album, All Days Are Nights: Songs For Lulu, when word broke that the singer-songwriter was going to be working with legendary producer Mark Ronson on his upcoming album, Out Of The Game, it almost immediately sparked my addiction to him again. Although the title track and first single of the album won't be dropping until April 16th (March 13th digitally), one of New York's biggest and most beatiful voices has provided fans with a teaser video (above) with snippets of some of the music included on the album along with commentary from both him and Ronson about the making of the album.
Additionally, last Friday Wainwright shared a track from the album on KCRW called, "Montauk". In addition to an infectious vocal melody that will have you humming the song hours after you finish listening to it, the song is full of cleverly written lyrics that I can only assume are addressed to his daughter Viva. Have a listen to "Montauk" via the player below.
Thanks to Drowned In Sound for the heads up!
