[Listen] Patrick Stump - "Explode"

Former Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump has delivered yet another dance worthy poptastic track. This new one, "Explode" details his sentiments on his upcoming solo album, Soul Punk. "If this is it, I wanna go out with a bang," he belts with conviction. Apparently this is an all or nothing kinda situation for Stump, so best of luck to him.

I gotta admit, with every track that drops I find this new solo approach growing on me. It's taken awhile, but I think he may have something there as long as he eases off the production a little bit. Then again, we ARE talking about the dude who fronted a band notorious for their pro-tools heavy punk-esque pop.

No word yet on when Soul Punk is due to drop, but you can bet we'll have the scoop once we have the details.

[Listen] Patrick Stump - "Cute Girls" (Prod By Om'Mas Keith)

Patrick Stump, you're making my insides feel funny. Wow. Never did I think he'd be the Fall Out Boy who would come out on top of the breakup.

"Cute Girls" sound ridiculously Michael Jackson/Robin Thicke/Prince/Pharell-ish. I just hope ol' Patty has been working on his live performance. If he can pull this off live... dang.

Om'Mas Keith, if I had a hat it would be off to you for this track.

[Download] Help Patrick Stump Decide Which Version Of His New Song "Spotlight" Should Go On His Album

Pete Wentz has , Joseph Trohman and Andy Hurley are part of  and now its the former Fall Out Boy frontman's turn to go solo. Patrick Stump has been working on his yet to be titled solo album, Soul Punk (Thanks CoS! Forgot he announced that) since January of this year and has now graced us with the first song from the album titled "Spotlight". However, there is one catch, Stump has created two versions of the track and is undecided on which one should appear on the album. So he's leaving the power in the hands of the fans to decide. You can check out both version of "Spotlight" below and then when you made your decision, head over to Stump's website to vote on which one should make the album. IMO I like the (Oh Nostalgia) version more than the typical dance version which is (New Regrets).

[Watch] Introducing: The Damned Things (Every Time I Die x Fall Out Boy x Anthrax)

What do you get if you add together members of Fall Out Boy, Every Time I Die and Anthrax? I'll tell you what, it's The Damned Things. Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley of Fall Out Boy, Keith Buckley of Every Time I Die, and Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano of Anthrax make up the band. I first got wind of this project back in early June when they played their first show in New York and then a London show the week after...the buzz had started.

Having only heard "We've Got A Situation Here" I was pretty excited, riffs and hooks galore, the track got stuck in my head instantaneously. You can hear why below. We finally have a little more information now thanks to the video above which gives us a nice insight into how it all came to be. Their debut album will be out on December the 14th, we'll be keeping a close eye on this one.

Remix Remix

Fall Out Boy - Tiffany Blews (P.O.S. Remix)

I ran across this interesting remix a couple of days back. It's a remix of one the hottest Fall Out Boy songs that was released on their last album, Folie a Deux. The original song features Lil Wayne, however on the remix, Weezy's vocals are more of a back up as FOB frontman Patrick Stump takes over the lead vocal part. The awesome part about this track is that it is remixed by rapper/vocalist P.O.S. (DOOMTREE!)
