[News] Glastonbury 2011 Line-up Revealed

It's almost Festival season which is my favourite time of year. Who doesn't love a weekend in some fields somewhere in some country with a bunch of friends maybe a few drinks and the key ingredient, good music. Glastonbury has always been a landmark in the calendar for any festival goer and this year the rumours had been rife for months about the headliners and confirmation came months ago. Yesterday however the announcement of a crazy number of bands playing across the weekend at Worthy Farm were released. You can see them all in the poster above. Being Glastonbury their will be god knows how many more still left to be announced but to whet the appetite just a little the likes of QOTSA,  The Chemical Brothers, Lykke Li, Biffy Clyro, Crystal Castles, Gruff Rhys, U2, Coldplay, Beyonce, Tame Impala, Yuck, The Vaccines and Warpaint just to name a handful.

To get a grasp on the days the bands are playing and a better feel of how the weekend will unfold, head on over to the official Glastonbury site. The size of this festival is unfathomable and the bands that have graced its iconic Pyramid stage will go down in. If you ever get a chance to go to this festival in your lifetime. It needs to be done.

This was a pairing that I never thought of for a remix, but it totally works. Gold Panda managed to take Lykke Li's "Sadness Is A Blessing" and make it all the more beautifully devastating than it already was. It's not as raw as the original, but this take definitely does not leave any of the emotion out from the song.

Lykke Li - MTV Unplugged - Music - More Music Videos

During a recent MTV Unplugged session the beautifully voiced Lykke Li gave a hat tip to the London outfit The Big Pink by covering their song "Velvet" during the performance. You can check it out in all of its glory above.

It seems The Big Pink have a few fans all over the place. As you may know, Nicki Minaj samples their track "Dominoes" on her recent single.

Yes, you read the title correctly, check out Lykke Li playing her track "I Follow Rivers" Live on 'The Moon'. The track features on her latest album Wounded Rhymes which is a great listen throughout. The video is cool to watch as it's not something you see every day, Lykke doing her thing is a regular occurance at the moment. We've seen her playing Conan, Fallon, Morning Becomes Eclectic for KCRW and acoustic performances! This however is the first time she's done so on the surface of the moon, so check it. Enjoy.

A few weeks ago we got to see the gorgeous, Swedish songstress Lykke Li performing her track "Get Some" from her album Wounded Rhymes. We've seen Lykke performing this track ina few different arrangements and have even had a Tyler, The Creator Remix just the other week, today though courtesy of our friends at TwentyFourBit we have a fully unplugged version for you all to enjoy. With her sophomore album being available everywhere now there's no excuses as to not having the Swedish singer's Wounded Rhymes. This was recorded at Viktor Wynd’s Little Shop of Horrors in London not too long ago, so sit back and have a nice acoustic listening Morning. The weekend is on the Horizon, I can almost touch it!
