It's not the worst thing to go to bed/wake up to is it? Annie Clark playfully teasing you with her raw sounding guitar tones and more than easy on the eye looks.... Last night St. Vincent performed on Jimmy Fallon and with her Annie brought a cover of The Pop Group's debut 1979 song, "She Is Beyond Good and Evil". Take a look at the performance at the top courtesy of the sleep deprived Audio Perv.

[Listen] Modestep - "Paradise" (Coldplay Cover)

It's hard to escape the hold Coldplay have over the radio stations of the world at the moment following the release of their fifth studio album Mylo Xyloto. Try something different on for size though as today comes a fresh approach to their recent single "Paradise" from the London based Modestep. The four piece stepped into Radio One's Live Lounge to perform one of their own tracks and this, which was their 'mystery cover'. They add a definite dubstep and club feel to the original whil leaving the piano riff intro in tact before flipping the track on its head considerably. See what you make of their interpretation below.

[Listen] Cerebral Ballzy - "I Wanna Be Adored" (The Stone Roses Cover)

Living in Manchester, the amount of Stone Roses news/talk you hear on a day to day basis is probably too much to bare to the untrained ear. This though, this we like. New York residents Cerebral Ballzy covered the legendary Manchester band for a Zane Lowe session and the results can be heard below. They certainly made "I Wanna Be Adored" their own. Let us know what you think.

[Listen] The Roots Remix the Captain Morgan's Theme Song

While The Roots recently announced that they were currently working on their thirteenth studio album, titled undun, it seems that the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon house band still has the time to do a remix the theme song Captain Morgan's latest television commercial. The Philadelphia hip hop group remixed the track in their usual fashion, by completely reinterpreting and reworking it.

The Roots' spin on the jingle comes in the form of "To Life, Love, and Loot," which drummer ?uestlove explains "is part funk, but it's also as aggressive a song can get with drums, guitar, and tuba. Lyrically, we figured we’d tackle the mission statement line by line. We touch on love and then you extend love to life, and then the love of loot. In this case buried treasure. We definitely had a visual pirate ship in our heads when we were doing this track."

You can listen to the remix at SPIN.com, and the band's upcoming album undun is due out on December 6th via Def Jam Records. As well, you can listen to "Make My," the first single from the album, below.

[Listen] Yuck - "Natsu Nandesu"

Check out a fresh new Yuck track which appeared on the Japanese version of their debut album. Funnily enough this track is a cover of the Japanese band Happy End and their track "Natsu Nandesu". It's a different kind of vibe to their usual stuff as it's a female led vocal but hey, give it a spin. It's a welcome change for sure.

[Listen] The Horrors - "Best Thing I Never Had" (Beyonce Cover) Live in Radio One's Live Lounge

As we know, when artists step into the BBC Radio One Live Lounge anything can happen, remember when Chase and Status covered Foo Fighters? Or maybe Friendly Fires covering Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory"? The results of that enchanted room can be equally awesome as they are cringe worthy. Today's guest in the Live Lounge was The Horrors who we've already seen a few times this week in the form of a performance of Jools Holland and their official video for "I Can See Through You". The thign that took me by surprise this morning was when Fearne Cotton gave us the choice of songs The Horrors may cover. Britney Spears, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Beyonce were the 4 unsual picks and the results may surprise you.

After performing yet another solid rendition of "I Can See Through You" the time was upon them to announce their cover. The band went for Beyonce's "Best Thing I Never Had" turning it into a dark and haunting guitar filled jam. Check it out below and let us know what you make of it. I think they did well to make it their own.

[News] The Black Keys' Patrick Carney to produce Tennis' next album

It's a big day for Denver-based duo Tennis! Today, the pair released their cover of The Zombie's 1965 hit "Tell Her No," which you can listen to below. As well, as reported by Gorilla vs. Bear, The Black Key's Patrick Carney will be producing not only the band's upcoming Origins 7", but the follow-up LP to last year's Cape Dory. Here's what Tennis had to say about the cover as well as their upcoming work:

We’ve spent the last several months writing and preparing for what we hope will keep us busy all winter. We will be announcing a Forest Family release in the next couple of weeks as well as tour dates to make up for the Vaccines tour cancellations. Also, we are excited to announce the existence of our next album (produced by our new friend Patrick Carney) coming out early next year. In the meantime, we made this cover of the Zombies “Tell Her No.” It’s been a long time favorite of ours and is the best use of a lone-clap we’ve ever heard.”
