[Listen] Foals - "My Number" (Hot Chip Remix)
Hot Chip ups the ante on Foals' dancey single "My Number", adding flourishing, sun-tinged synthesizers and a pulsating 4/4 beat to a dancefloor-ready remix. Acid house influences seep through every second of the three-minute remix, but the highlight is the pacing, which slows it down when appropriate but never fully kills the quick tempo and bouncing rhythms. Stream it below.
Foals new album Holy Fire is out now.
[Listen] Frank Ocean feat. André 3000 & Big Boi - "Pink Matter" (Remix)
To be a highlight from Frank Ocean's already outstanding debut Channel Orange is an achievement in itself, but "Pink Matter", which features André 3000, has now become even better. Serving as an Outkast reunion of sorts, Big Boi drops his remix of the crooner's smooth beat, deftly blending his raps amongst the funky basslines and sultry guitar riffs. It feels good to hear Big Boi and André together again. Stream the cut below.

[Listen] Little Dragon Remix Unknown Mortal Orchestra's "Swim and Sleep (Like a Shark)"
By simply looping the first verse from Unknown Mortal Orchestra's "Swim and Sleep (Like a Shark)", Swedish outfit Little Dragon has turned the once 60s-tinged track into a sprawling six-minute dancefloor beat. Sweeping synthesizers and pulsating rhythms accompany the repeated vocals of Ruban Nielson, as a pounding drum beat invites you to embrace its club-friendly sound. As Yukimi Nagano explains to Rolling Stone, the band was "inspired to make a choir arrangement for the remix, but got stuck on the first verse and ended up making a house jam."
Unknown Mortal Orchestra's sophomore album II is set for release on February 5th.
[Listen] Jamie xx Remixes The xx's "Sunset"
Jamie xx does some reworking of his own (well, mostly his own) material, changing up The xx track "Sunset". While keeping the vocals of Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim in tact, Jamie extends the song by nearly double its original length, adding in an incredibly catchy bassline, sweeping synthesized drones, and a slew of solid drum machine effects. The result is a much clubbier track than the original, but in no way is that a negative. Check it out below and let us know what you think of Jamie's rework, and for comparison we've also included a stream of the original.

[Listen] Alt-J - "Fitzpleasure" (Betatraxx Remix)
Alt-J's An Awesome Wave has received a boost since winning the Mercury Music Prize and in turn I've noticed the band's music being used a lot on British television and them being played a little more on the Radio. Good on 'em. Today we get to enjoy a remix of their track "Fitzpleasure" from Los Angeles-based producer Betatraxx who changes the song dramtically into a dance worthy club track. See for yourselves below.

[Listen] Willy Moon - "Yeah Yeah" Feat. Wiley (DJ Cable Remix)
Willy Moon's "Yeah Yeah" is one of my favourite tunes in recent months. It's catchy, feel good and just makes you wanna get up and dance. Add to that one of the UK's biggest names ing Grime, Wiley, and you've got a tasty sounding remix on your hands. It's been mixed down by DJ Cable and the results are sure to put a spring in your step on this miserable Monday. Check it.
[Listen] Toro Y Moi feat. Hodgy Beats - "So Many Details" (Remix)
Later this month, Record Store Day will play host to "Back to Black Friday", and one of the artists taking part in the event is Chaz Bundick, aka Toro Y Moi. His song "So Many Details", which we first heard a couple of weeks ago, will be released as a 7" single, and backing it up is Bundick's own remix of the song featuring Odd Future member Hodgy Beats. Worth the listen? Hell yes.
"Black to Black Friday" takes place on November 23rd, so make sure to grab a copy of the single. As well, Toro Y Moi's third album Anything In Return drops on January 22nd on Carpark.
