After a lot of anticipation (from some people at least) yesterday finally saw the release of The Horrible Crowes debut effort. The Horrible Crowes, are made up of Brian Fallon and Ian Perkins and we've previously had a taster of what was to come from the project in the shape of "Black Betty & The Moon" but now via Side One Dummy, no auto playing Rolling Stone Player, nice.

It looks like we finally get to sample what Brian Fallon, of The Gaslight Anthem, has been up to for the past few months. We previously mentioned his new side project with Ian Perkins, The Horrible Crowes. The band are to release their 12 track debut Elsie on September the 6th and today you can get you first taste of the album with a 90 second preview of the track, “Black Betty & The Moon”. 

I little different from what you may be used to from Fallona nd Gaslight but as he describes it it's an “experiment with the darker side of soul music". What do you make of it? Hat tip to our friends at CoS for this.
