[Download] TV Girl - 'The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle' Mixtape

San Diego indie pop duo TV Girl have been making a name for themselves over the last year or so with their vintage, '50s-inspired sound, and today they've released a brand new, fifteen-track mixtape for free on Das Racist member Himanshu Suri's Greedhead label. The mixtape, titled The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle, is well worth the free download, hell, it's worth a lot more than that. Nonetheless, you can download it here, and below stream the track "Misery" from the free release (via Stereogum).

[Watch] TV Girl - "Baby You Were There" (Video)

On the heels of dropping their free EP Benny and the Jetts, TV Girl has released a video for "Baby You Were There". The video was directed by Justin Smith and clevery depicts a couple going through the [stop] motions of a relationship which looks to be more about convenience vs. love/romance. Bummer.

San Diego duo TV Girl kick it old school with their 70s throwback sample heavy jams in their new EP, Benny & The Jetts, which you can grab in exchange for you email address via the widget after the jump. I really like the overall vibe to this band. It doesn't hurt that they totally suckered me into even listening to them because of the Elton John reference either.
