[Listen] Gruff Rhys - "Xenodocheionology"
Check out another new track from Super Furry Animals' frontman Gruff rhys titled "Xenodocheionology." The track is set to be relesed on May23rd as the B-Side Rhys' recent single "Honey All Over" from his recently released album Hotel Shampoo. Take a listen to the track in full courtesy of NME.
Fun fact: "xenodocheionology" describes a person’s love of hotels or inns. I wonder why Gruff chose that as a title name? ;)
[Listen] Gruff Rhys - "I Totally Understand"
While this is not an entirely new track, it is a nice little gem to come across. From the 12" single of "Shark Ridden Waters" comes this vinyl-exclusive b-side, "I Totally Understand" from Gruff Rhys. The single was released back in November 2010 and was UK-only.
His latest release, Hotel Shampoo is now available everywhere. He's also going to be hitting the road this summer. Tour dates are after the jump!
Update: I didn't realize until after this was posted that "I Totally Understand" is also now featured on the US iTunes version of the Hotel Shampoo release as well.

[Watch] Gruff Rhys Performs A Live Session & Explains How He Wrote "Sensations in the Dark"
Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys recently performed a live session of his latest single "Sensations In Dark" for UK's The Guardian. Rhys' also goes into detail on how the track was created but also turns into salesman in the middle of his performance of the track pitching his latest invention, the guitar accessory, Velcro Horn. Sound a bit odd? So does creating a hotel out of soap and shampoo bottles. Peep the video above, then listen to the album version of the track here.
[Listen] Gruff Rhys - "Sensations In The Dark"
Super Furry Animal's frontman Gruff Rhys has released his second single from his forthcoming solo album Hotel Shampoo titled "Sensations In The Dark." Gruff explains this track as a "feel-good, mariachi-tinged ode to the joys of falling in love with music." Well described. The track is already making its way around radio and will be released on a 12" vinyl and digitally on February 7th. The vinyl release will included an exclusive B-side called "Follow The Sunflower Trail (Theme Tune For A National Strike)." Sweet! Check out the single below, then head over here to preorder Hotel Shampoo before it's Valentine's Day (Feb 14th) release.

[Download] Tony da Gatorra vs. Gruff Rhys - "In A House With No Mirrors (You'll Never Get Old)"
Super Furry Animal's frontman Gruff Rhys reminds me alot of Gorillaz/Blur frontman Damon Albarn. It isn't because they sound similar, Gruff is always working on crazy experimental projects like Albarn, no wonder why Damon brought Gruff on board for the latest Gorillaz album, Plastic Beach. This time around Rhys is putting out an experimental record with Tony da Gatorra, who is a Brazilian TV and VCR repairman.
The record is titled The Terror of Cosmic Loneliness and it dropped today via OVNI/Turnstile. According to Pitchfork, the album was recorded in five hours after just five days of rehearsal. Fucking amazing! Check out one of my favorite tracks off the LP titled "In A House With No Mirrors (You'll Never Get Old)" and pick this album up!
