With word of M.I.A. working on a new album a track featuring her has hit the web. The track, titled "Rock Off Shake Off" comes from Rye Rye who you may remember from a few years ago when she did exactly the same as she's doing here: Appearing from the silence with an M.I.A. track. Not that we're complaining mind you. The track is a big beat that had me bopping along within minutes. It's set to appear on her forthcoming debut, Go! Pop! Bang! which, surprisingly enough, is being released on M.I.A.'s N.E.E.T. Record Label.

It's no secret that Rye Rye and M.I.A. are close, for one Rye Rye is signed to M.I.A.'s N.E.E.T. label and is currently opening for her on her US tour which set sail from V-Fest last month in DC. Things have been a little quiet surrounding the artist for a while (understandable as she's had a kid in her time away!) But now she's back with a vengeance and with M.I.A. close behind, as she features on this track. The 18 year old's latest track is a nice poppy upbeat track to start off your Tuesday morning, head on over to her Myspace to hear more. Her debut album Go! Pop! Bang! is slated to be released in early 2011.

M.I.A. Announces National Tour

Ever since M.I.A. dropped /\/\/\Y/\ we haven't seen her sit still for very long. Straight out from headling UK festivals, Sri Lanka's finest returns to the US to do a national tour, which kicks off September 25th at V-Fest in Washington DC.

Rye Rye, the first artist signed to M.I.A.'s label N.E.E.T. will be supporting her during the national tour. Rye Rye's debut album, Go! Pop! Bang! is slated to be released in early 2011.
