Today, Mumford & Sons revealed the trailer for their upcoming tour documentary Big Easy Express, which contains footage from the band's 2011 Railroad Revival Tour in the U.S. alongside Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros and Old Crow Medicine Show. The tour saw the three bands living, eating, sleeping and recording onboard 15 vintage railcars, and the documentary is set to premiere at this year's SXSW Film Festival. You can watch the trailer for Big Easy Express above.
Mumford & Sons are currently working on the follow-up to 2009's Sigh No More.
[Watch] Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe, Old Crow Medicine Show Cover Woody Guthrie
Mumford & Sons have recently been on tour with Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, and Old Crow Medicine Show n what they call the Railroad Revival Tour. According to our friends over at Twenty Four Bit the bands have been rounding up the end of the show (see what I did there, rounded up! ha) with one hell of a good sing along, country style. The bands come together for a rousing rendition of Woody Guthrie’s “This Train Is Bound for Glory”. VH1 managed to film a performance of the sin-song in which the band all take turns on vocals whilst blasting out 7 minutes of good old folk. You can't help but want to get up and jig when watching this. Happy Friday!!
