[Watch] The Vaccines x Noah and the Whale - "Where is My Mind" (Pixies Cover)

Triple J's Like A Version segment has given us many a musical gift over the months and now we have another to add to the ranks. This one comes from a pairing of two UK bands currently doing the rounds, it's The Vaccines and Noah and the Whale. They came together to put in a performance of the Pixies "Where is My Mind" and the two groups come together beautifully for a laid back take on the track. Working well with one another the vocals and textures added to the song don't stray too far from the beaten track, but the results are fruitful. It's worth a few moments of your humpday time.

[Listen] Noah And The Whale – "Call Your Girlfriend" (Robyn Cover)

Earlier in the week Noah And The Whale were the band who stepped into BBC's Live Lounge and put in a few performances on Fearne Cotton's show. They chose to cover the Swedish songstress Robyn and her recent single "Call Your Girlfriend". They mix it up  little and slow it down as well as changing the lyrics to "call your boyfriend". Check it out below via CoverMeSongs and let us know which you prefer. I think I'm swinging towards the original in all honesty but hey, you guys may think otherwise.

[Watch] Noah and the Whale - "Waiting For My Chance to Come" Live at Radio One's Big Weekend

Noah and the Whale were also at Radio One's Big Weekend and performed in front of a full tent on the In New Music We Trust stage. Here we have a performance of their track, "Waiting For My Chance to Come". Their new album, Last Night On Earth is out now and is a concept album based on the title. Their last night on earth. It features some pretty infectious tracks throughout and has that feel good factor too. "L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N" for example. Enjoy the performance at the top.
