#skoaradio 10/31/2015 liner notes
When a new song comes out of nowhere and suddenly becomes your favorite.
Happy Halloween broadband buds!
Gotta say, the jams in this week's #skoaradio are so good it's SCARY! hahahaha oh boy am I bad at #relevantcontent sometimes but WE'RE HERE TO TALK MUSIC ANYWAYS SO WHATEVER. I dug up some spooktacular new tunes this week from Sinden, The 1975, Jamie Woon, MALAA, and more so it's a pretty damn good mixtape if I do say so myself. Lots of new music out this week so I hope you weren't planning on buying your family any expensive Christmas gifts because you're about to exceed your budget on music for the zillionth time.
Don't forget you can grab the Spotify playlist at the bottom of this post so you can treasure the order I painstakingly put these songs in. Or you can hit shuffle. Whatever.
Until next week!

[Watch] Check Out Neon Indian's Animated Short Film
It was recently reported that Alan Palomo, the frontman of Neon Indian, was commissioned by the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art to create an animated short film, and now you can watch the fruits of his labor. Entitled "Outer Osmo Ghost Mode", the film centers on how technology has impacted the relationships we have with other people.
Focusing on two avatars named Elda and Dell Banner, the film explores our relationships within the digital space and how social networking and technology have shaped the ways in which we interact. Palomo uses the music as an extension of the plot, evoking these complex transformations through sound. The result is music that has endured "eras of digital degradation and (coming) off distorted, distant, and otherwise anachronistic." Watch the full short film above.

[Watch] Neon Indian - "Hex Girlfriend" Live For No One
The fact we're posting this band would usually mean they'd have an audience watching them if they were performing. However, the For No One performance series turns that concept on its head and this video for a rendition of "Hex" from Neon Indian. The video at the top sees them performing for no-one, literally. Check out the kind of eerie feeling video at the top via NPR’s All Songs Considered. "Hex Girlfriend" features on Era Extraña which is out now.
