[Watch] Lower Dens - "Propagation" (Official Video)

In the new Sebastian Mlynarski-directed video for Lower Dens' song "Propagation," all sorts of weird shit goes down. If the video is any indication, the Baltimore outfit tend to enjoy dressing up in glowing beekeeper outfits, painting themselves white, and taking part in strange rituals in the forest. Lower Dens' latest LP Nootropics was released today through Ribbon Music. As well, the band has announced new summer tour dates, which will keep them very busy from now till July 20th. Take a look at their full tour schedule after the jump.

[Watch] Lower Dens - "Brains" (Official Video)

Baltimore new wave outfit Lower Dens are set to release their sophomore album Nootropics on May 1st via Ribbon Music, and today they've let loose the official video for the album's first single "Brains." The video, directed by Tristan Patterson, is simple in its execution yet all the more enticing because of it. Check it out above, via The NJ Underground.

"Brains" is set for release as a 10" single on March 27th, which will include the song "Propagation" and b-side "Hours." As well, Lower Dens will go on tour starting February 29th, so give their tour itinerary a look after the jump.

[Listen] Lower Dens - "Brains"

Baltimore-based new wave outfit Lower Dens are gearing up to release their follow-up to 2010s Twin-Hand Movement, titled Nootropics, on May1st, and today, the group released the first single from the album. The track, titled "Brains," is described by the band as one that "examines our relationship to technology, in particular artificial intelligence and is the perfect entryway into Nootropics' vast and meticulous vision." Fitting then, that they have described their upcoming studio effort as "a reference to Lower Dens' interest in transhumanism -- the use of technology to extend human capabilities."
