[Listen] Titus Andronicus' Patrick Stickles Covers Lana Del Rey's "Video Games"
Earlier today, Patrick Stickles, the now beardless frontman of Titus Andronicus, let loose a video of him covering Lana Del Rey's breakthrough hit "Video Games," which has become one of the most covered songs of the year. The cover, recorded in Stickles' parent's living room on Boxing Day, shows off his skills on the piano, and, despite being admittedly out of tune, the cover seems to have meant a lot to the New Jersey rocker. Before releasing the cover video, Stickles took to his Twitter and went on one of his signature rants, saying, "I have been the man in that song." He went further to say, "What I mean is, there have been shameful moments in my past when I have been emotionally unavailable to a good woman. That was fucked. Why was I so emotionally unavailable? Because I was scared, and I couldn't receive love b/c I didn't love myself. Self-hate makes love a lie."
The man sure does love opening up with honest and real talk, and it makes for one of the most interesting and refreshing Twitter accounts out there. If you don't currently follow Patrick Stickles on Twitter, you should probably head here and do so now. In the player above, you can check out Stickles' piano-driven cover of Lana Del Rey's "Video Games."

[Listen] Lana Del Rey - "Blue Jeans" (Odd Future's The Internet Remix)
Odd Future's Syd The Kid has given the remix treatment to the hottest property at the moment, Lana Del Rey. Love or hate all these mixes I kind of dug the chilled out feel Syd goes for with this remix of LDR's "Blue Jeans". Anyone else feeling the same or kind of bored when it comes to Lana and the never ending store room full of remixes?
