[Watch] Kyuss Lives! - "Hurricane" Live on Fuel TV

Hell to the yeah. Kyuss Lives! hit up Fuel TV to lay down a stellar performance of their iconic track "Hurricane" the lead track from the impeccable album, …And the Circus Leaves Town. God this sounds good. I hope Nick doesn't go to prison and these guys come back to the UK again. If you're in the states you can be a lucky SOB and catch them live. (I thoroughly advise you do, that night with a good friend was one of the best I've had this year). Dates after the jump via CoS.

[News] Kyuss Lives! To Tour North America

We previously got news in April that Kyuss Lives! aka Nick Oliveri, Brant Bjork, John Garcia and Bruno Fevery, basically Kyuss minus Josh Homme would be setting out on a US tour. The bands UK tour was jaw dropping and the American one is sure to go off as well. The band have now added dates in Philadelphia, Montreal, Austin along with Las Vegas and a load more to their first tour of the US in 15 years. The Sword and Monstro will open up the dates for the tour just in case you were wondering. For the bands now extensive Summer tour leading into October including festival dates in the likes of Greece and France simply make the jump.

[News] Kyuss Lives! To Play US Dates

If you'e in the USA right now I'd just about explode. Kyuss Lives! aka the legendry desert rock band that gave birth to so many great bands that came after them are to make their return to US soil. Without Josh Homme of course, he's off recording new QOTSA material (in between touring the re-released S/T and he also has another bambino on the way!). So, the original lineup plus Fevery filling in for Josh's guitar parts are to make their triumphant return to the US and holy balls you should be excited. It's been 15 years coming!

I saw these guys on their UK tour last month and they seriously blew me away. If you were ever into Kyuss or just want to have you face melted off by the wall of sound coming from the stage, go watch this tour. Seriously! Fevery's tone, sound and style matches Josh almost perfectly, not that he had a choice in the matter as he'd of been ripped to pieces by die hard fans but to hear these tracks live. Garcia can still bring it live. Bjork is still a demon behind the kit and Nick, well he had a shit eating grin on his face for the whole set. He's playing in front of big crowds again, you can't blame the guy. It's something you may only get to hear live once in your lifetime so check the dates after the jump and do your stoner self a favour. Buy a ticket of two. It'll be awesome, honest! Props to CoS for the dates.

[News] Kyuss Lives! To Record New Album

You know when you get into bands when you're younger and you think it's the best thing ever, Led Zep, The Beatles all that kind of stuff, but obviously you think you'll never get the chance to see them live? Well earlier this year I was overly excited to find out that Kyuss would be touring, minus Josh Homme, which kind of sucks, under the name Kyuss Lives!

If that wasn't enough, today it's come out that the guys may even be recording a new album, in an interview with Rocksound Garcia said; "Our rehearsals are going so well that we’re thinking of doing another record...This is brand new information that has been leaked to Rock Sound first; Brant, Nick and myself have collectively agreed that once everything is done live and we’re done with our solo projects, we’re going to do another record" Exciting stuff whether it's with or without Josh this is still something a lot of people can begin to get excited about. Check out what he had to say about Josh after the jump along with the tour dates if you missed them.

Check out what he had to say about Josh after the jump along with the tour dates if you missed them.

In relation to the whole Josh not being a part of the reunion and tour John added, "I have nothing bad to say about Josh – he’s extremely intelligent, very smart, a great guitar player, great song writer, a great vocalist – he is a bad ass, there is no question and I love him dearly but he is busy with his own thing...He has Them Crooked Vultures, Queens Of The Stone Age, he’s a father, a businessman and even if we asked him to do it, I don’t think he’d say yes, so I don’t want to set myself up for a big fat no which is 99.9 percent what he would say."

So, there you have it if you were already getting pumped to see your favourite stoner band early next year you'll have the added buzz of possible new material on the horizon too.

March:

[Watch] Josh Homme Interview by Zane Lowe

A nice insight into a modern day rocker who spends most of his time on the road. Playing in numerous bands though the years while in between managing to start a family and settle down. I say settle down he still drinks one bottle of Grey Goose on stage most nights! But hey it's progress from the cocktail he spouts off in "Feel Good Hit of The Summer"! Anyway, take 20 minutes and listen to Josh and his opinions on the industry. He also talks about how he started out with Kyuss playing gigs in the desert with generators. Through to his Queens of The Stone Age days and their first steps into making memorable albums. Josh briefly talks about Nick too for those of you who may be interested. Thanks to Zane Lowe for the interview.
