[Watch] Kool A.D. - "Eroika" (Official Video)

Kool A.D. and friends get really high and fuck around with a green screen. That's about as much as I can say about his new video for "Eroika", the minimalist, tribal-infused single for his upcoming release 19. But, that's not knocking it in any way, as the video is as fun and goofy as we've come to expect from the former Das Racist members. Check out the clip above.

19 has no firm release date at the moment, but Kool A.D. promises it is coming soon.

[News] Das Racist Announce Break Up

This past weekend, Das Racist was set to perform at On3 Festival in Munich, but to the surprise of fans the only member to show up was Heems. During his "solo set", Himanshu divulged to the crowd, saying, "You guys wanna know the secret? Alright, so I’m going to do some Das Racist songs, but Das Racist is breaking up and we’re not a band anymore." Apparently hip-hop's resident goofballs have broken up.

Confirming the news was Kool A.D., who took to his Twitter to say, "for the record i quit das racist 2 months ago and was asked by our manager not to announce it yet. apparently @himanshu wanted to do it tho."

For a more detailed account, third Das Racist member Dapwell discussed the break up with SPIN.com: "I was bummed when we actually broke up, when it was done, mostly because it was a way to make money really easily. Now, I probably won’t be able to make money that easily ever again,” he said. “But we had a plan to break up around May. We had just signed this record deal and we were going to put out one proper album and then go on a farewell tour, release a proper breaking up statement that could have been really funny, maybe a weird, stupid video. Now, all of that has gone to shit." Continuing, Dapwell revealed that everyone in the band "kinda checked out and it was just about money, which some people can do, but apparently, we’re not good at doing things we don’t want to do anymore. It made everyone go crazy and get angry in such typical band fashion: guys arguing and then drinking. It’s just stupid. Because in the beginning, it was just us. We’d all hang out all the time, we all lived in this apartment together. Not that we were super friends, but sort of, you know? Really, it’s a huge opportunity squandered."

[Watch] Kool A.D. - "Al Green" (Official Video)

Kool A.D. offers up the official visual accompaniment for his track "Al Green", a track that featured on his recent mixtape, 51. A pretty simple video which sees him doing his thing while an elegant ballerina does hers around him. Not the normal pairing you might expect. Check it out above.

In case you didn't pick up his mixtape you can grab a copy of it over here.

[Watch] Kool A.D. - "La Piñata" (Official Video)

Just last week, Das Racist member Kool A.D. dropped a brand new mixtape titled 51, which featured the track "La Piñata." Now, we have the visuals to go along with it, and it's not exactly what you would expect when imagining a piñata party. Within a dingy motel room, Kool and co. bust open a piñata full of money, and unsurprisingly debauchery ensues. Also, cock fights. Check it out above via SPIN.com.
