[Listen] Snow Patrol - "This Is Everything You Are" x "Last Friday Night" (Katy Perry Cover) in Radio One's Live Lounge

Snow Patrol made no secrets about their love for Katy Perry earlier in the year when they covered Katy Perry on one of their live dates. Earlier in the week though the boys pad a visit to Radio One's Live Lounge and by this point it didn't take a genius to work out what they might throw down in the studio. SURPRISE, it was a cover of Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night", who'd of guessed. They do a pretty decent job of it too and it's a better quality recording than you're going to see on Youtube from live footage at shows around Europe.

As well as performing a cover they laid down a rendition of their recent single "This Isn't Everything You Are". Through the magic of the internet you can enjoy both track below.

The Vaccines have been relentlessly plugging their debut in the past month. We've even seen the London boys perform on US Television watched by millions. Last week we even saw the guys pair up with Noah and the Whale to cover the legendary Pixies track, "Where Is My Mind". Today, it was a cover in the BBC Radio One's Live Lounge that we were graced with. The cover itself was not so obvious though as they covered Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night"! Adding some echoes and heavier drums to the track the results are interesting. It worked pretty well and it was definitely unexpected when the opening riff started playing. New extr terrestrial style video from Katy Perry for her effort with Kanye West. The video sees Katy Perry looking all Gaga-esque and weird. Some may even say she looks a little alien, who'd of thought with the track being called "E.T.". Along with that though we see Kanye break the laws of physics but conquering gravity. I knw he had talent but wow. Check it out up at the top. Crazy that it's not even been online 12 hours and it has more than a million views. Two big names showing they are a force to be reckoned with.

Robyn Joins Katy Perry On Summer Tour

After a handful of shows on her own, including sets at Coachella and Sasquatch, Robyn is hitting the road with California girl Katy Perry starting in June.

[Listen] Katy Perry x Kanye West - "E.T."

None other than Kanye himeself has stepped in to do the remix duties on Katy Perry's track "E.T." and has added some heavy bass drum action and his classic flow to a few parts making what was a ctachy pop track into a heavy, replayable, extra terrestrial journey. Kanye adds a verse to the start and end of the track which keep ou on yoru toes wanting more and adding some more structure to the song. The original version of the trak will be Perry's fourth single from sophomore LP, Teenage Dream. Give the remix a listen for yourselves below and keep your eyes peeled for a video which has apparently been filmed already.

We know that the Brooklyn boys Das Racist like to do things a little different and with more than a little tongue in their cheeks. So today take a listen to a classicly Das Racist-esque track from the bands very own Himanshu Suri AKA Heems version of Katy Perry's "Tenage Dream". [Listen x Download] Darwin Deez - "Teenage Dream" (Katy Perry Cover)

Another stop on the Student Tour for Radio 1 was Lincoln and for this show they got Darwin Deez to drop a Live Lounge Session. He picked to play Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" and put his own little spin on it changing up the lyrics in parts and name dropping Russell Brand at one point. Darwin seems like a genuine guy who enjoys what he does and doesn't take himself too seriously which is always a good thing. As previously mentioned if you check them out live you are to be treated to some funky dance moves in between songs. It's not the first time Darwin has done a cover for a radio station you can hear his take on RHCP's "Scar Tissue" that he played on Triple J in Australia here.
