[Listen] Karen O - "Strange Love"
Last night our good friends at BBC 6Music's Now Playing had did a very enjoyable Karen O night which included a brand new track from the Yeah Yeah Yeah's front-woman. The track is titled "Strange Love" and will feature on the soundtrack to Tim Burton's new film, Frankenweenie. Speaking of the song previously, Karen says it's an "unconventional unconditional-love song". See what you make of it below via Fake Walls.

The hype surrounding the Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' soundtrack for David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, has been hard to escape. So it should be, with the Oscar winning duo teaming up once again mouths were always going to be moving. The soundtrack is out now digitally on it is the cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" which was first released in 1970 on Led Zep' III. This rendition features the always awesome Yeah Yeah Yeahs' frontwoman Karen O. The video uses a collage of the title sequence of the film from Fincher. Pretty eager to see this film so this is a nice little ominous preview. Watch it below at the top via Pitchfork.

A few months ago, David Lynch announced that he was working on his debut studio album, and that it would be called Crazy Clown Time. The album, which will boast fourteen tracks, will be released on November 7th via Sunday Best Recordings and PIAS America. The first single and title track of the album has already been made available for download on Lynch's Facebook page, but now we get our first taste of the Karen O collaboration titled "Pinky's Dream." We love the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. We especially love Karen O and can't wait to see her recently debut "psycho-opera,"Stop the Virgens within the next week during CMJ as it runs through October 22nd. But that's not the only thing Ms. O. has been up to.
Karen recently covered Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings' 1978 country hit "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" in collaboration with Chipotle as the soundtrack to their short film titled "Abandoned." As Fast Company explains, the four-minute video publicizes the quick-serve Mexican chain's Cultivate Foundation, a nonprofit "dedicated to creating a sustainable, healthful, and equitable food future." Check out the touching video above and also checkout more details on Chipotle's Boorito campaign, in which you wear a costume on Halloween night, and get $2 burritos, with proceeds benefiting the Cultivate Foundation and Farm Aid. Sweet right?
[News] David Lynch Details New Album
Late last year, legendary filmmaker, television director, actor, and artist David Lynch released two singles, titled "Good Day Today" and "I Know." Then, back in May, he announced that in June he would be releasing an electronic album which would feature a “dozen songs inspired by modern blues, folk, indie, dance music, and the work of Lynch’s longtime collaborator, Angelo Badalamenti.” Unfortunately, the album never saw the light of day. Now, though, we have confirmation that the album, officially titled Crazy Clown Time, will boast 14 tracks, one of which, titled "Pink's Dream," will feature guest vocals from none other than Yeah Yeah Yeahs leading lady Karen O.
Crazy Clown Time will be released on November 8th via Sunday Best Recordings. As well, you can stream the single "Good Day Today" below, as well, head here to listen to the Boys Noize remix.
[Listen] Karen O x Trent Reznor Cover Led Zeppelin
As we previously mentioned back in January, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are to team up once again to score a film. They've previously won a Golden Globe for their work on the fantastic, Social Network. Their upcoming project is to score the next in the series of David Fincher’s films, following on with adaptations to Stieg Larsson’s novels. This time it's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo to receive the (possible) award winning hands of the pairing. We get our first taste of their work on the film courtesy of our good friends over at Antiquiet. The track features Trent Reznor and Karen O covering Led Zeppelin’s 1970 hit “Immigrant Song”.
