[Watch] James Vincent McMorrow - "We Don't Eat" (Official Video)
Our buddies over at Hypetrak have pointed us in the direction of this delightful video from James Vincent McMorrow for his track "We Don't Eat" which featured on his LP Early In The Morning that came out in 2010. The video merges together shots of the road passing by on a long drive with James performing the track with images cast upon his face. Kind of creepy, kind of cool. Judge for yourselves below.

[Watch] James Vincent McMorrow - "Wicked Game" (Chris Isaak Cover)
Irish singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow recently got some hard earned radio play in the UK and it was nice to be going about my daily business and hear his vocals come across the airwaves at intermittent parts of the day. Today though instead of an album cut for your listening pleasure we have him covering Chris Isaak’s track, "Wicked Game". Thanks to B3Sci for the heads up!
James' voice works well with the cover and you can dive straight in and hit play below. In case you happened to miss it last month, we posted a clip of James covering "Higher Love" by Steve Winward.

Covers covers covers! I love covers! But only really great covers, don't you worry!
The man with the gorgeous voice that haunts you in your sleep, James Vincent McMorrow has covered a personal favorite of mine "Higher Love" by the legend that is Steve Winwood.
I absolutely love how a cover from an artist that isn't particularly of the same genre can transform a song into something you wouldn't have expected it to ever be able to pull off and this cover in particular does just that.

[Listen x Download] James Vincent McMorrow Daytrotter Session
James Vincent McMorrow was the latest artist to step into Daytrotter to record a live session, and you can take a listen to his recent single "This Old Dark Machine" below. He dropped by and put in another three tracks from his LP Early In The Morning. The tracks he performed along with the aforementioned were "Follow You Down To The Red Oak Tree", "Red Dust" and "We Are Ghost". You can download the whole set over on the official Daytrotter site but take a listen to this great rendition of "This Old Dark machine" before you do. I haven't stopped whistling the tune since I did. A simple acoustic guitar, delicate vocals and the addition of some female harmonies makes for a relaxing listen.
[Watch] James Vincent McMorrow - "This Old Dark Machine" Live on Jools Holland
On Saturday we got to look at the cool new video from singer/songwriter, James Vincent McMorrow for his track 'Sparrow And The Wolf" which featured some cool looking animal masks. Last night though, James was another musical guest on Jools Holland's Later on the BBC in the UK. He performed his track "The Old Dark Machine" from his LP Early In The Morning. A great performance filled with passion and heart.
Enjoy the performance and head on over here to grab his album.
[Watch] James Vincent McMorrow - "Sparrow And The Wolf" (Video)
Check out the new visuals from James Vincent McMorrow for his track, "Sparrow And The Wolf", his new single from his LP, Early In The Morning. The video follows the story of some characters (humans) wearing some well made wicker animal masks. They wouldn't look out of place at a masquerade of sorts but you'll see what I mean. As the video progresses, the visuals pairs up well with James' track and the developing story of the narrative.
Check it out at the top and to pick up yourself a copy of his album just head on over here to grab a copy.
[Listen] The Japanese Popstars - "Joshua"
Check out the latest single, "Joshua" from electro band The Japanese Popstars (who are neither Japanese or popstars, btw). The single features vocals from Tom Smith from The Editors, which was a really nice touch to the song, I might add.
The single is due to drop on June 13th, with the upcoming album, Controlling Your Allegiance dropping on June 20th. The album is said to have collaborations with other artists in addition to Tom Smith, including: Robert Smith, Jon Spencer (Blues Explosion), Green Velvet and psych folk singer James Vincent McMorrow.
For more fun with "Joshua", head on over to their Facebook page where you can interact with the animated baboon featured in the above video. With the app you can create your own interactive video of the song where the baboon actually eats any of your friends per your choosing.
