Erol Alkan has offered up his very talented hands to do a remix of Justice's "Canon" that featured on their 2011 offering, Audio, Video, Disco. Ed Banger just let loose the track on their Soundcloud page and the result is up for grabs below to be enjoyed again and again. The good stuff just keeps coming today but this is the perfect early listen for your weekend shenanigans. Get excited for some fun tonight whatever it is you may be up to as this slow builder will guarantee a smile and a little office desk boogie prior to the 5 o'clock satisfaction that is the weekend.
This remix is features on the On'n'On EP, which drops on the 30th of January.
[Listen] Boys Noize & Erol Alkan - "Avalanche (Terminal Velocity)" Feat. Jarvis Cocker
Take two of the biggest names in electronic music, pair them up with a legend in his own right, Jarvis Cocker, and what do you get? An avalanche, that's what. A track called "Avalanche (Terminal Velocity)" has surfaced and it's a goodie. The track is a little dark and full of Boys Noize glitchey type stuff we've come to expect from the German producer and the well rounded English Erol Alkan has helped craft the track into reverb filled banger. The cherry on the top comes from Jarvis Cocker and his distinctive yet creepy vocal work. It simply makes a good track awesome.
This one will be getting a lot of play in the coming Summer month(s). Check it out below and turn it up loud.
[Listen] Tame Impala - "Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind" (Erol Alkan Rework)
The second good remix of the day, and the week. Not bad considering it's only Monday. Take a listen to the Erol Alkan rework of Tame Impala's "Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind" which features on the bands full length debut Innerspeaker. You can pick up the albu over here if you want to hear more.
In this rework of the track Alkan processes the guitar sound and messes with the timing of the track making for a nice early evening listen. It was uploaded to Erol Alkans Soundcloud page so be sure to keep an eye on that for more nice remix work. Check it out for yourself below via The Fader.
