IT’S VIBE O’CLOCK ON FRIDAYYYYYYY MY SWEETIES!!!

Hoxton’s fast-favorite of mine, Dan D’Lion has decided to show us a softer side of him this time around with his latest offering, “BETTERMAN”, which comes from his upcoming EP due later this spring. This more downtempo track was the perfect opportunity for Dan to really open himself up to his rapidly growing fanbase and he does not shy away from the chance in the slightest. It is not lost on me at all that after two singles featuring artwork that feature close-ups of his signature smile that we now zoom out and see Dan sitting confidently before us.

In addition to the level of prowess he wields with his production skills, I can’t get over how much I love his voice. I tend to stan for really unique voices that you could always identify regardless of the composition or collaboration. That falsetto of his man…..😍🤩

Exciting news for the alt-pop powerhouse in the making: he’s announced his debut headlining show at London nightclub Laylow on March 7th. Get this: it’s already sold out! Not bad, my guy. Not bad.

[SONG OF THE DAY] Dan D'Lion - "~treading water~"

Alt-pop sensation in the making Dan D’Lion has resurfaced after dropping his debut single, “Give What You Take” back in November. If “Give What You Take” was Dan putting his best foot forward, this new tune, “~treading water~”, is him firmly putting both feet on the ground to let us know he’s not going anywhere any time soon.

Y’all, I’m so here for this in the biggest fucking way.

As much as it’s really easy to be taken with his voice, Dan is one hell of a producer. The way that he manages to carefully layer together these ear-perking textures before we even get to the vocals and vulnerable lyrics is just such a delight for your eardrums. Definitely treat yourself to this song with the best pair of headphones that you’ve got. I love how specific he was placing certain sounds. It really helps to maintain your well-deserved undivided attention.

Very much looking forward to hearing what else he’s got in his arsenal. Hopefully that will be sooner rather than later.

Oooo y’all I just found a brank spanking new baby band for you!

Fresh out of the box with his debut single only a few hours old, please meet London newcomer Dan D’Lion. His debut single, “Give What You Take” is a vibey blend of electro-pop and nu-funk that deals with the idea of capturing polarizing aspects of your personality. Over the past few years he’s been writing/producing for artists like Salen, Punctual, Delilah Montagu, Zilo, and Feder, all the while working on his debut release.

Drawing inspiration from his time working with artists, writers and producers, both in London and internationally, the music for his personal project is written, produced and performed in full by himself. "This was the first track I wrote for myself where everything started to make sense,” he noted, “As it all came together it felt like a real turning point, and the lyrics actually ended up becoming motivational to myself in a way, taking away the daunting aspect of crafting something for myself."

This is one hell of a first impression. Very anxious to hear what else this Dan D’Dude has up his sleeves.
