[Watch] Gorillaz Cover The xx & Perform "Doncamatic" And "On Melancholy Hill" For BBC Live Lounge

Damon and 1/4 of the Gorillaz live band swing by BBC Radio 1 to perform a Live Lounge Session with Jo Whiley. The band performed their newest single "Doncamatic (All Played Out)" along with pop singer Daley and performed a nice smooth cover of The xx's "Crystalised". Damon also performed a stripped down version of the Plastic Beach hit "On Melancholy Hill" which was not aired during the radio broadcast. We got the preview for this new Gorillaz video last week which wetted our appetites in the way only a Damon Albarn creation can. The video is for track "Doncamatic" which didn't feature on Plastic Beach, which is understandable as it does have a different feel to that of the last concept album. Yet it has the flavour of a Gorillaz track through and through. Check out the pretty cool video up top which features some cool underwater antics from Daley. Gorrilaz have given us a little teaser of the video for their non Plastic Beach offering "Doncamatic" that features Daley. The trailer seems like a classic Albarn visualisation. Butnot only that we have a video of the band and Daley performing the track live in Phoenix to wet your appetite further after the jump. I'm excited for the video and if the Live video gets you all hot under the collar why not head out to see Gorillaz who are currently doing a huge world tour. I've only heard positive feedback so go do it as Damon has said he won't be doing a world tour again for quite some time! Treat yourself to an early Christmas present and avoid the regret for years to come!

Last month Gorillaz gave us a brand new cut that was previously unheard and didn't feature on Plastic Beach. It didn't quite fit the albums vibes but this didn't make it any less of an awesome track. Now, "Doncamatic (All Played Out)" has had the remix treatment from Joker and is now club worthy and as bouncy as they come. The official version of the track which features Daley, is slated for release on the 22nd of November. Gorillaz are about to head out on tour with N*E*R*D as main support along with a host of guests making appearances along the including Bobby Womack and De La Soul.
