[Watch] DIIV - "Wait" (Official Video)
The weekend is on the horizon, and the weather is slowly but surely starting to get better (in the UK at least!). So with that, this new Super-8 shot video from DIIV seems like the perfect thing to wrap your head around to get you in the mood for partying in the sun. The Brooklyn band's video for "Wait" is a sun drenched look into their lives and is rather psychedelic in its aesthetic. It also features a lot of super skinny girls' bums and boobs if you're into that kind of thing too, so it may be best to wait until your boss is out of the office to hit play. Or just piss him off and do it anyway. Maybe he's one of those cool bosses who just lets you go nuts and do what you want and is actually stood behind you right now watching with you? Whatever, just enjoy it.
Oshin is out now.
[Watch] DIIV - "Doused" Live on Letterman
DIIV put in a dreamy performance on the Late Show with David Letterman last night of their track "Doused". It marked their TV debut and you can check out the four piece strutting their stuff at the top courtesy of The Audio Perv

Everyone had a favourite toy when they were growing up, mine personally was a Batmobile hot wheels replica. I bet it annoyed the hell out of my Mum as I'm pretty sure it was a McDonald's Happy Meal toy, not the nice big one she'd bought me for one of my birthdays! Anyway, it seems DIIV frontman Z. Cole Smith still has a special place in his heart for toys and more specifically, toy soldiers as he plays with them in the video for "Doused". It seems that they take up a little too much of his time though which nearly causes a problem with a gig. Check out the vid above.

[Listen] DIIV - 'Oshin' (Full Album Stream)
DIIV will release their debut LP, Oshin, on the 26th of June via Captured Tracks but ahead of its release you can stream the release in full courtesy of Hype Machine. We've been pretty excited by the few tracks we've heard prior to this full stream so let's dive right in and see what we make of it. That pun was completely unintentional. Honest.
[Watch] DIIV - "How Long Have You Known?" (Official Video)
It is the weekend. Finally. Why not get in the party spirit with DIIV's new visual for "How Long Have You Known?". When I say get in the party spirit I'm not talking literally because from the concoction of ingredients frontman Zachary Cole Smith is not something you want to be running through your system come 5pm this afternoon. Or maybe it is? But no, seriously kids, don't try this at home. (Via Pitchfork)
Oshin, their debut album is set to drop on the 26th of June via Captured Tracks.
[Listen] DIIV - "Doused"
Dive, the side project of Beach Fossils member Zachary Cole Smith, have announced that they've changed their name to DIIV, explaining that the name change came out of respect for the '90s industrial band Dive. When speaking to Pitchfork, Smith said that the name change doesn't mean change for the band, saying that "[a] name is nothing. I don't really give a fuck what the band is called. I originated this project in a bedroom with no internet and didn't know it would ever leave." The name Dive originated from the Nirvana song, but Smith went further to explain that "[t]he word was an element of what inspired the project in its genesis, but we've outgrown the name and its associations."
The announcement of the name change was also accompanied by a brand new track from the band's forthcoming debut LP Oshin. The song, titled "Doused," is a great cut that shows off the band's brooding combination of energetic drums, rythmic guitar riffs and angsty vocals. Check it out below.
Oshin is out on June 26th via Captured Tracks.
