[Watch] Das Racist - "Girl" (Official Video)
We've always know Das Racist aren't ones to take life too seriously and when it came to their Blood Diamonds produced track "Girl", which sounded a little different for these guys, they've released an equally entertaining visual to sit along side it. The track featured on 2011's Relax which feels like it wasn't released all that long ago but dang this year has flown by. We've seen the result of guys stalking girls previously in Bob Dylan's "Duquesne Whistle" video but this one has a little bit of a more light hearted take from a dance crazed gent. See what happens in this take on it from the Brooklyn boys above.
[Watch] Blood Diamonds - "Ritual"
A new track from Blood Diamonds has hit the net and it goes by the name of "Ritual". The track came as the B-Side to his collaboration with Grimes, "Phone Sex" which was officially released last week. See what you make of the track below and look out for more from the young gent in the coming months as we await his EP.
[News] Grimes, Kreayshawn, Blood Diamonds, and Tragik Form L$D
In a completely out of the blue and random turn of events, Grimes, Blood Diamonds, Kreayshawn, and LA rapper Tragik have announced that they have formed a new group called L$D. The new collective's first track is titled "Don't Smoke My Blunt Bitch," which apparently took a total of ten minutes to record, with the accompanying music video taking less than an hour. If you decide to watch the video for the song above, you'll understand right away.
[Listen] Blood Diamonds feat. Grimes - "Phone Sex"
Vancouver producer and video game designer Mike Tucker is better known by his moniker Blood Diamonds, and the R&B-infused dance pop he creates is captivating in every sense of the word. His first single from his forthcoming debut LP What is titled "Phone Sex" and features another Vancouver talent, Grimes. The song sees her singing amidst a Caribbean-influenced dance soundscape that is hard not to repeated over and over. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that his instumentation is overall better and more suited to Grimes' vocals than her own instrumentals. Give it a listen after the jump.
The Phone Sex EP is out on June 24th.
